-Will? It's 2 in the morning. You should sleep.

-Same to you.- I stare at Emma.

-I don't need to sleep. I need to take care of the beach. Drunk people come often and ruin stuff. 

-Well. I can take care of the beach and you go to sleep then.

She smiles. -That's really sweet of you, but I'm staying. 

-Well, at least I tried.

She stares at me.-Well I know about Noah's secret twin brother. Do you have a reason for why are you wearing that ring?

-My dad gave it to me.

I tense up 

-Oh, God. I'm so sorry. I just-She sighs and hides her face with her hands. 

-It's okay.- I say shrugging.

-Sure.- I pass the ring to Emma and she smiles.

-Well, here y'go.- She hands me back the ring.-You're warm. 

-Well, this sweatshirt's warm.- I smile.

I chuckle softly.- No, I'm not.

Emma frowns. 

-Hey, it takes more muscles to frown than to smile. 

That made her smile slightly.

-There we go. 

-Oh God, no.

-My necklace. Dang it. I lost it.- She starts standing up and walking around the beach.- Oh, God.

-Thanks.- I go to the other side of the beach and start searching.

-Yes!-She jumps and hugs me.

I smile and give her the necklace.

-Um..- She sticks her tongue out and tries to put the necklace on. 

I sigh and take it from her hands and put it on swiftly. 

-Oh, thanks. 

-You smile a lot. 

-You don't like people that smile a lot, apparently. 

-I like people who smile a lot. Noah doesn't.
