Cronus POV:

You couldn't believe it. You had known Rufioh since your first day at Alternia High. You remember him distinctly coming up to you, asking if you wanted to join the football team. You had politely rejected and ever since then, you two had been best friends. But this wasn't Rufioh. At least, it didn't seem like him. It walked like Rufioh and talked like Rufioh, but this wasn't Rufioh. Rufioh was always happy and cheerful and courageous... it was almost as if something snapped inside of him. This... This impersonator... was just so sad and frustrated and scared. You looked over at Kankri. He seemed so calm. You didn't understand how he could just sit there and seem so calm!!! You stood up and towered over Rufioh. "Is this some kind of sick joke? Did you come ovwer here just to vwaste our time by mocking us? Cuz I sure as hell ain't laughing dude." you hissed. Kankri jumped up and pulled you away from the scared lost boy. "Cr9nus Amp9ra! H9w dare y9u insult one of our guests!" Kankri screeched. you turned to look at your enraged boyfriend. 

"There's somefin fishy here Kanny!"

"Cr9nus the 9nly thing fishy here is y9u!"

"vwhy are you defending him?"

"Because he asked f9r my help and I pr9mised him I w9uld!"

"He's foolin ya Kanny can't you see?!"

"The 9nly thing I see is a scared y9ung man and a judgemental boyfriend! N9w sit d9wn, shut up, and listen!"

You growled and sat back down on the couch. Kankri sighed before he sat down on the floor in front of Rufioh. "I ap9l9gize f9r his behavi9r Rufi9h. H9nestly, I think Cr9nus is just c9nfused. He d9esn't understand y9ur situati9n, Just like h9w y9u d9n't understand 9urs. C9nfusi9n is the main reas9n why s9 many pe9ple are h9stile t9wards each 9ther." He explained softly. Rufioh's scared look softened a bit as tears began to form on his cheeks. "But... How do you know he 1sn't ly1ng? 1 mean, 1f 1 was h1m, and some guy came 1nto my place and told me he was gay, 1 would probably suspect them for hav1ng bad 1ntent1ons... so why are you show1ng sympathy to me? 1 could just be here to laugh at you and make you feel l1ke 1d1ots..." Rufioh trailed off. Kankri quickly glanced over at you before smiling and looking back. "But y9u d9n't have bad intenti9ns d9 y9u? I can see it in y9ur eyes... y9ur hurting deeply and y9u have n9b9dy t9 ask f9r help... that's why y9u came t9 us.  Am i c9rrect?" Kankri asked proudly. You saw it now. You understood what Kankri was getting at. Kankri wasn't calm at all. Instead, He was just as scared as Rufioh. But Kankri was swallowing his fears and using his head to handle the situation at hand. This must have been the same thing he did when he stood up to your father. He seemed so proud... it just reminded you why you loved him. Why you were fighting for him. Kankri was such a wonderful person. Everything he did made your heart skip a beat. But then you started to think; If you misjudged Kankri for calm instead of proud, then you may have misjudged Rufioh for being different. You took a good hard look at Rufioh. He seemed stiff, emotionless even. he was always such a ladies man, so it was hard to think he could honestly be gay. He didn't appear like he was telling the truth... but then you remembered what kankri had said about his eyes. You looked at his face and what you saw almost broke your heart. His eyes where glistening with something dark. something painful. But through the hurt, They screamed for hope. A hope that brought this boy to your front door. A hope to find answers. You looked back at his body language, but this time, it wasn't a stiffness that you saw, It was fear. He may have seemed emotionless at first glance, but that's because he was fighting his fears and asking for your help. This is when you decided that this boy meant no harm. He was just lost. You stood up and coughed a bit. "Rufioh... I am a man vwho can admit vwhen he's vwrong. I'm sorry I judged you so quickly and I vwill do vwhatevwer I can to help you buddy." You stated. Both of the boys looked at you with grateful eyes. "Cro... buddy... words can not express how thankful 1 am. You too kankr1. 1 always treat you so coldly at school, 1 d1dn't th1nk you would help me... and thanks to you, Cronus d1dn't beat the sh1t out of me!" Rufioh cheered. Everyone laughed and Kankri even blushed a bit. He was so adorable <3
