Chapter 16: Brianna and The Cruise

  We leave for the cruise today. I honestly need a break from Maylon calling me all the time asking me to make grocery runs for her because she's bed ridden. Not mention the conversation we had a about circumcision...
But more, I need a week with my girls. I need to be able to tell them everything. Even the baby.

  I walk out of the house with my carry on behind me. The limo driver takes it and opens the car door for me. I get in.
"Hey!" Norman says.
"Hey." I fist bump him. I sit down next to Melissa and Norman. I was always the last stop so everyone was here.
"How's Maylon doing?" Lauren asks.
"Oo, yeah he's a pain in the rear, I but I cut her some slack." I say. They laugh.
"She having a boy or girl?" Norman asks.
"Both." Danai says.
"She's brave." Steven says.
"And planning her wedding." I add.
"How does this women keep up!?" Andrew asks. We Laugh.
"I have no clue how she functions." I say. The ride was smooth, in other words Chandler didn't try to talk to me.

We arrive on port and we get our passports ready.
"I can't wait for our get away!" Sonequa says.
"This baby needs it!" Alanna says. We laugh. We walk in to the ship.
"I could go for a luxurious nap." I say.
"Let's do it." Lauren says.
"I'm going with the guys, you have fun." Katelyn says. She walks faster and meets up with Chandler. He puts an arm around her shoulder and they walk.
"You miss him." Alexandria says as she puts a arm around me.
"No, I'm fine." We walked to our room.
"You can't keep lying to yourself, Rachel." Danai says.
"What if he finds someone else?" Christian says.
"He wouldn't do that." I say.
"Honey, it could happen." Emily makes a good point. We sat down on our beds.
"I have to tell you guys something." I say. Emily nods.
"What's wrong?" Lauren asks.
"I miscarried." I say.
"Rachel." Alexandria says.
"Was it chandler's?" Sonequa asks.
"Yeah." Emily says.
"I'm so sorry." Alanna hugs me.
"Have you told him?" She asks.
"No." I shake my head.
"Girlfren." Sonequa says.
"I know, I know. I just don't want to put him through more shit right now."
"That baby could have lived. What would you have done, if they did?" Danai asks.
"I honestly don't even know." I say.
"I could go for that nap." Emily says.
"Yeah, it's been a rough couple of months, lets just let it all out." Alexandria says.

  I walk out with my girls to the poolside. We each get our own chair and lay down in your binkinis.
"Damn girl, you look good." Christian says to Alanna.
"Thanks!" She rubs her belly. A man walks over and hands us our drinks.
"My walker lady's I have your drinks." He says.
"We are survivors, thank you." Sonequa says. We laugh.
"Thanks." I take a strawberry smoothie.
"Umm! Rachel how is modeling?" Lauren asks. Lauren models too.
"It's good, I have a show the day we get back."
"You could have done a maternity shoot, you would look damn hot." Alanna points out.
"Alanna!" Christian hits her arm.
"I didn't say that." Alanna says.
"It's ok. Thank you Alanna." I say. She sits up and faces me.
"Your welcome." She says. They bicker. Chandler walks by with his friends that he probably just met. One girl stuck out to me.
"Hey Rach, are you guys going to the party tonight?" He asks.
"This Cold War thing isn't really working." I say.
"Are you going or not?"
"Yes, we are going." I pull my sunglasses over my eyes. It's not like he hasn't seen me in a bikini.
"What a loser. You dated her?" That girl says as they walk back.
"Excuse me?!" I stand up and take off my sunglasses.
"Hey! Rachel!" Emily stands up.
"Say it to my face!" I yell.
"Rachel back off." Chandler says.
"Rachel." Alexandria says.
"Three strikes your out." She says.
"Watch your back." I say.
"Why, cause I might get fired?"
"No, cause I'll kick your ass." I say.
"Rachel!" Chandler yells.
"You need to leave." Sonequa told the girl.
"Gladly." She walked away.
"What the hell was that?" Chandler snapped.
"Did you not hear her?" I asked. He took me by the elbow.
"Let go." I pulled away.
"You can not act like that."
"What she said was rude."
"And I get that, but you don't threaten to kick their ass, Rachel."
"I know some things you don't, so I wouldn't say that."
"Like what?"
"I'm not telling you. You couldn't take it."
"I could and you know that! Do t act like I'm so clueless."
"Forget it." I start to walk away.
"Don't ever do that again!" He yelled. With my hands to my side I stuck up the middle finger.
"Ouch!" Norman says.
"Shot through the heart, again!" He adds.
"Your still to blame." I say. I sit back down.
"Damn!" Alanna says.
"When did you become so bad ass?" Danai asks.
"That was Avery, not Rachel."

  We walked into the club.
"For my girls." Norman gave us each a shot.
"I need this." I say.
"You bet. Another?"
"Yes please!" Lauren says.
"I'm tired, I'm going to head back to the room." Alanna says.
"Goodnight. And goodnight." I say.
"Goodnight." We all say. She walks out. Out of the corner of my eye I see that girl and Chandler dancing.
"Cold War." I mouth. He shook his head. It wasn't a Cold War anymore. Shots were fired.
"Can I just get a hug?!" Emily asked.
"How long have you been here?" I ask.
"Like days!" She says. I laughed.
"Why don't you sit dow." I put her in a chair.
"Where did everyone go?" Alexandria returned from the bathroom.
"Katelyn is with Chandler, Alanna and Sonequa left." I say.
"Just Lauren, Danai, Emily, Christian, you and I?" She asks.
"Yup." Lauren says.
"What about milissa?"
"With Norman." I say.
"Ok, Welles start this party!" She lifted a shit I think he air.
"GRIME! GRIMES! GRIMES!" The crowd cheered. I looked over and saw Chandler break dancing.
"I didn't know he could do that." Danai says.
"He's pretty good." I say.
"Already, all my girls, on the dance floor, right this minute." Alexandria says.
"Ok!" Emily stand up.
"Honey, you might fall." Christian says. She laughs.
"Who give a shit?!" She asks. We all laughed.  We partied and partied. Soon after all the girls went back I just sat at the bar talking to Greg.
"I'm going to bed and I think you should too." He says.
"Yeah. Goodnight." He kissed the side of my head and left. I took a deep breath and outside. I say Chandler with that girl and an arm around her waist and they watched the sunset. He really did find someone else.
"Hey! I'm so sorry." She turned around to face me.
"I have to go." I started to walk.
"Rachel, I'm really sorry, what I said was uncalled for."
"I don't even know your name." I say.
"Brianna. Brianna Memphis." She shakes my hand.
"I'm sorry I just need to go to bed." I walked to my room. She's already on my bad side. That apology meant nothing to me.

  I walked into my room and shut the door. Alanna was spread out on her bed and Emily was on the couch. I put my pjs on and walked out to the balcony. I over looked the calm waters as the sun was just leaving the horizon.
"Beautiful, isn't it." I looked to my left and say Chandler out on his balcony. I didn't smile. I didn't even talk. My phone rang. I walked inside to answer it.
"Hey! How are you?"
