Chapter 7.

A red Audi pulled up by my home.
A girl maybe a few years older then me came out, wearing basically all leather.
He kicker high heel boots scrapped alone the stone pathway to the front door where I was standing with my family.

She pulled of her sunglasses which did his glowing gold eyes.
"Jane Winterblack?" She looked straight at me with a huge smile. "I'm Heidi McClair, I'm here to take you to Octavia."

I looked at my family one last time, gave them a hug and said my goodbyes.

My stuff was placed in the back of the car and I sat quietly in the passenger seat.

We drove what seems like hours, Heidi didn't speak a word the whole way.
I placed my head on the cold car window and watching the passing trees.

"So Nicks mate, you excited?"
She wasn't really looking at me, well she is driving.

"Ahh..nervous actually." I said lamely.

She frowned. "You get to see your mate? Your boyfriend, your actually really lucky you got Nick Samuels, every girl wanted him."

I scoffed. "Boyfriend? Yeah no, we don't actually like each other it's the---"

Wait can I trust this girl? Does she know about the bond? She would have to, she did pick me up at Ambrose main quarters.

"Your bond? Yeah I know about that, but there has to be something there or else the bond would never of stuck."

I have no feelings toward Nick, has too cocky and arrogant. What girl would want that?
But then again I do kinda feel a little weird around him but I'd hardly call that feelings.

"I honestly don't know..I mean I hardly know the guy, how could I have feelings for him."

Heidi sighed with a smile.
"Well listen, the whole tribe has been talking about you, wondering who you are, why the sudden bond thing..not to put pressure on you but you have to come up with answer quick there will be a lot of them."

I'd probably just leave the answering to Nick.
He is the male, the more dominate in the bond..well I think he is.

We arrived at the main headquarters of Octavia.
There area in the centre of their land.
A place where they basically all hang out, train, gossip, have meetings all of it.

Some people were in wolf form, odd.
Some people where play fighting, sitting around having fun.
It looked fun.

We pulled up at the car park behind the building.
When I got out I felt every eye on me.
They all just stared hard and curiosity filled he air.
I was so nervous my hands shook and I hugged my arms for protection.

Heidi walked the long way to the front entrance, we past every group; which all stared with curiosity.
I breathed heavily, I so wanted to get inside.

That's when I saw him..
Nick stood at the door, arms crossed and leaning back on the door frame.
The sudden anxiety disappeared.
I felt a lot calmer and safer.

When we got to him I could be more glad to be near him.
He smirked at me. "You seem frighten ducky?"
Ducky? Really?

Heidi went through the door which left Nick and I alone for a second.
He put a hand on my lower back and lead me inside.

"Don't be scared." He whispered in my ear.
I shook it off. "I'm not."
He chucked. "Act all tough all you want Ducky, but I know how your really feeling."
I looked up at him and met his dark brown eyes. "Is it obvious?"
He smiled warmly. "Don't stress, I'll protect you."

We made it into the laying around room.
The building wasn't that mad, it was actually really cool with greys and blacks.
Modern but also a tad vintage.
Nothing is expect from Octavia.

"We will announce the bond to the pack at dinner." Nick said.

My heart jumped. Announce?
Oh god. Now I'm panicking.
What do I do anyway?

Nick laughed. "Don't stress Jane, you'll be fine."

A girl with sharp blue eyes and long jet black hair stormed into the room.
Her pale skin looked so smoothed, she had a visible scar one her cheek.
He glared at me, her lips puckered.
She looked pissed.

Behind her was Nick's friends Ryan and Jie.
Ryan was grinning from ear to ear and Jie looked unamused.

We walked slowly toward the group.
The girl kept a close eyes on me, she occasionally shifted her eyes into wolf eye then back to human.

What's her problem?

"Jane, you've met my friends Ryan and Jie, but this is another friend of mine; Nina. Nina this is Jane."

She looked at me up and down.
"This is Jane?" She giggled. "Not..what I expected."

Anger boiled, how dare she speak about me in third person and treat me like dirt.

My 'freak out' disappeared, I was now very confident and angry.
I stepped up close towards Nina.
I crossed my arms.
"Excuse me?"

She tilted her head slightly.
"You heard me Were-Whore."

Oh! She did not just call me a were-whore. This bitch is gone.
I was about to punch this moron in the face when I heard Nick growl.

He growled so loudly everyone froze and stared at him.

His eyes glowed gold, fangs out.
"Jane back.." I did as he asked.
I really didn't want to at on his bad side.
Or maybe I'm already is.

"Nina, don't speak to my mate like that, do you understand!"
At least he was mad at her not me.

She nodded. Definitely scared.
I smiled.

"I'm sorry Nick, it's just---what mate!?"
She didn't know I was his mate?
Who did she think I was?

He rapped an arm around me.
"Bond mate actually." He corrected.

Nina's faced dropped.
Like someone took something most valuable to her away from her.
I would feel sorry for her if..well if I actually gave a shit how she felt.

"Bond mate?" She pushed the words out of her mouth.

I looked at her clean in the eye.
