Chapter 8- Musicians

*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Liv//

The boys have got some interviews today. They said they'd be half an hour. I really doubt that.

"Livvy!" I hear...Riley? Riley shout.

"Coming!" I run down the awesome stairs to my sister.

"Do you remember any songs?"

Really? Was that what she wanted to ask me?

I shook my head, "No."

Not even this one.

She started playing a song on the grand piano, I think she was starting with the chorus.

"When I close my eyes and try to sleep
I fall apart
I'm fighting hard to breathe
You're the reason
The only the reason

Even though my dizzy head is numb
I swear my heart is never giving up
You're the reason
The only reason"

Its a nice song. But I still don't remember anything.

"Sorry, Rie." I shrugged. I walked next to a guitar and picked it up.

"Could I play one of these?" I asked, putting it into position.

"Ya. You were awesome at it. It was basically your true talent. You had lessons but you quit because you didn't like the teacher." Riley smiled at her thought.

I wish I could remember.
Stupid car crash. Stupid amnesia. Stupid mum. Stupid dad. I don't remember anyone. My mum. My dad. My sister. Myself...

I strummed a few chords.

"Still got it in ya?" Riley ask.

"Maybe." I answered, strumming more, "Yeah. That's weird."

"True talent. That's what I'd call it." Riley smiled.

Riley and I locked gazes. I finally broke away after a few seconds.

"What was that song called?"

"Hmm? Oh. Um, the Only Reason." She said.

"Play the chords for me please." I said.
Rie played the chords.

I strummed each one, "I can't remember the lyrics and I probably had well, still have a horrible voice. So...you're singing." I smirked.

Riley just laughed and started to play.
I joined in.

'Don't talk
Let me think it over
How're we gunna fix this
How're we gunna undo all the pain

Tell me
Is it even worth it
Looking for a straight line
Taking back the time we can't replace

All the crossed wires
Making us tired
Is it too late
To bring us back to life'

Wow she was a good singer

'When I close my eyes
And try to sleep
I fall apart
I'm fighting hard to breathe
You're the reason
The only reason

Even though
My dizzy head is numb
I swear
My heart is never giving up
You're the reason
The only reason.'

We finished and earned a clap from the boys walking in.
We both smiled.

"That was awesome!" Ashton grinned.

"Thank you." Me and Riley said in unison.

"Woah. Twinnnsss." Mikey said, ghostly.

And we all burst out laughing.

"What else can you play?" Calum asked after the laughter died down.

I looked over at Riley.

"Er, I'm learning Jet Black Heart. It's really tricky." She admitted.

"Oh, I'll help you." Ashton said, "I'm an expert."

"It is our song, genious." Luke rolled his eyes.

I'm confused right now. Luke could read my expression.

"Jet Black Heart is one of our new songs. I'll teach you it on the guitar." He smiled.

I nodded and walked with Luke to the practise room.

Mikey//

"Soo..." Calum said.

"Soo..." I said back.

"Wanna play?" Calum asked picking up the Xbox controller.

"Why not?" I took the controller and we put on Guitar Hero.

"I'm going to win this time." Calum stated.

"In ya dreams, popstar." I smirked.

*

"Ha! I won one!" Calum yelled at the top of his voice.

"Yeah...one being the key word here." I emphazised on the one.

"It's still a win." Calum stated.

"Yeah...one." I said again.

Calum just rolled his eyes. It was about 6pm and we were still playing.

"Guys. We're ordering pizza." I heard Ashton say.

"Okay." I said back.

The girls came into the lounge.

"How was it?" I asked.

"Alright. I can play it fully now." Riley beamed.

"It's not that hard on a guitar." Liv said, "You just gotta practise."

"Yeah." I nodded.

Riley came and sat down next to me while Liv went to Calum.

I saw Riley take her phone out.

"Who ya texting?" I asked her, only briefly taking my eyes off the game.

"Oh, just my friend Tyler."

"Ok. Did he go to your school?"

"Yeah. He changed high school, but we stayed best friends and met up when we could."

"Why did he change school?" I asked.

"Because people were bullying him." She answered, quietly.

"Why?" I was being nosy but I don't care.

"Because...I dunno. People are just mean. I don't know the real version of the story. I was there when he was getting bullied. Scared them off. He was beaten up and everything. One day he couldn't take it anymore and he moved school." She said, sadly.

Aww... That's so heartbreaking.

"Is he happier now? In his new school?" I asked, quietly.

"Much happier. I just wish people hadn't bullyied him. Then I would see him everyday."

"What school does he live?"

"Um, Harbour Street."

"Hey, that's not too far from here." Calum said, he celebrated after winning the game.

"That doesn't count. I wasn't actually playing that round." I whined.

"Stop being a baby, baby." Calum teased.

"Shut up. Anyway. We can go and suprize him. Say hello."

"Really?"

"Yeah, why not?" I smiled.
