Chapter 16

It seemed like I had just blinked and it was already Thursday and tomorrow night happened to be the party James told me about a few weeks ago.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a knock on my window it was still morning really early in the morning to be exact so dang early I'm not even close to being remotely awake.

After my brain finally registered I had someone or something knocking on my window I looked over towards my window and noticed James outside throwing either pebbles or bottlecaps. I wasn't sure yet, I opened my window and seen James had his back turned the opposite direction; watching his house, he probably snuck out. Something I've noticed he's done several times since he got back. I didn't feel like stepping out on my balcony so I just stayed somewhat inside of my house.

"Psttt James!" I whispered trying to get his attention.

I moved the curtains so he could see me, but instead of glancing back and throwing he just threw another rock not even paying attention to me hanging out the window, the rock had hit me in the head.

"Ow, what the hell James?" I half whispered half yelled.

"Oh shit, sorry I didn't notice you woke up yet," he said while nervously running his hands through his messed up dark hair.

"Its okay, um what are you doing here?" I questioned

"I needed to ask you something," he said with a grin

I checked my phone to see what time it is. "At three in the morning?" I questioned.

"It's important, well sort of I guess." He stated with what I thought was a hint of nervousness then he changed his attitude and calmed down a bit.

"Well, what is it?" I asked curiously.

"Well as you may know I invited you to my friend Sam's party and it's this Friday and I wanted to know if you had an outfit picked ou, I'm just curious." he said in a husky voice.

If he wasn't my friend I would've already jumped out of the window and ran after him to kick his ass for waking me up so freaking early.

"Um, I was thinking about just wearing my skinny jeans and a t-shirt, I don't really want to wear a dress for apparant reasons." I stated. Upon me mentioning the apparant reasons part I knew he got what I meant because his hands balled up into clinched fists then a few seconds later he calmed down.

James flashed me a smile then said "Or you could go shopping today my treat."

I stood in my window seal completely taken back by his offer. "James you don't have to take me shopping I have plenty of outfit choices."

"Nonsense, I insist. I'll drop of some money tomorrow and you can get an outfit for the party." he said completely serious.

I didn't really want to accept his offer to pay for me, I had the money from my part time job to buy a new outfit or two. But then again I didn't want to be rude either or upset him by not taking his offer ether so, I accepted.

"I'll see you tomorrow after you come back from shopping." he called out while walking towards his house.

Well this was one of the weirdest nights ever. I thought to myself.
