Reaching toward the sky
Both hands up
Begging for fresh air
Looking down
Do I see what I want to see?
What am I exactly?
What am I searching for?
Invisible flame
Of my heart
Is why I hurt easily
Why I don't forgive
Everyone
I am wanting
You to understand me
To hear me
To want to hear me
I want to be able to
Trust you
Every shrug of the shoulders
Glance in the other direction
The don't know
Don't tell attitude
Shrinks the faith inside me
For you
Invisible flame
Is strong
For one reason
It has eternal structure
Spiritual maturity
And the belief
Of self
Conviction of courage
It will not be staved off
Refuses to burn out
Searching for her future
Even if the present escapes her
Surrounding with every inch of love
Invisible flame
Looks toward the heavens
Let's all pain
Flow out
Takes a deep breath
And faces tomorrow
With a smile
