Strength
Brawn
Muscles rippling
Able to lift trees by the roots
Out of the ground
Eating furniture for breakfast
Wow, now there's a real man!
Right?
Suit and tie
Rolex on the wrist
Briefcase in hand
Big city around
Office with a window
Million dollar clients
Fly on personal leer jet
Oh my, that must be a real man!
True?
Average Joe
Hardworking
Strong yet weak
Rich yet poor
Inspired yet doubtful
A clear path ahead
Not yet reached
Working toward goals
With baggage
He can't be a real man, can he?
He is very much so!
What makes a real man?
What are the qualifications?
Heart of gold
Sex appeal
Strength
Humility
Sense of humor
Caring soul
So what?
So what if he's not in a huge firm?
So what if he doesn't own a rolex?
So what if he's a late bloomer?
The city
though nice
The fancy house
The lear jet
Won't make you a real man
Money is there for comfort
And
Security
But if you don't have
A heart
A soul
A conscience
None matters
Are you a real man?
In body
In soul
In words
In feelings
In dreams
In rainbows
In sunshine
Yes, you are
To me
