Staring down I couldn't help but smile as tears finally flooded from my eyes. A maple leaf pin. How old was this? "It was the first gift you ever gave him, I remember him coming home with a massive grin he always wore it like a trophy around his neck, hehe" Alfred rubbed at his mess of hair. The pin was connected to a little Chain. If I knew he was going to treasure this that much I would have gotten him something much better. I let out a sigh in happiness. "I see you still wear it to" Alfred pointed to my hand. Oh my ring I've never taken it off I don't have the heart to, I almost forget it was there. "I-i" I tried to respond but again was left in a speechlesness. Alfred seemed amused by this and laughed slightly. "It's alright no need to push yourself" he smiled seeming to perfectly understand. "After all it is your first time visiting him" his smiled seemed to waver. It pained me to see the once grinning, energetic Alfred so... Crest fallen. Though I don't blame him in the slightest.

"Thank you Alfred" I spoke sincerely. All these years he's been here for him all I've been doing is hiding from the truth. "Haha no problem he's my brother after all that's what I'm here for I'm sure he'd want you to have it, I'm just glad you're back... I'm sure he is too" he stated through a grin. That grin reminded me of the old Alfred I knew. "So why are you back?" he questioned. "Uh well I'm not really sure... I was convinced by a.." I took a deep breath. "by a friend..." those words left a bitter feeling on my tongue. "well they must be quite persuasive, I'm guessing you're staying at your old place. How did she take it Arthur never stops threting." Alfred asked adding a small laugh he was talking about my mother clearly. "..." dread slowly settled in again. "Ah sorry I didn't mean anything sorry" Alfred started to freak. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh at how easily he worried. "It's fine... Well she didn't take it well but I'm fine with it" I replied. He seemed unsure at my response but nodded anyway.

"Ok let me take you home before Arthur thinks you've gone missing again" he joked "Hey!" I sighed. That was way to soon. Alfred told me about things that happened over the years small, big things and anything in between.

As we reached the dark figure of my house a voice called out "(F/N)! Oh thank god, thank you Alfred for bringing her back" I expected it to be Arthur but it was my farther stood at the door . "I'm so sorry about earlier I'm so happy to see you. Look how much you've grown." I was left speechless as he looked down at me such nice words yet he treated me like a relative, not close family. A cold chill lingered. Before I could even open my mouth in protest a warmth wrapped round me. "We'll be going now" looking up Matt was glaring down at my farther through his shades. Al looked shocked "...." he seemed tongue tied yet I couldn't ask any qouestiona before I was turned around and marched the other direction. "Hey (F/N) I'll be round later" I heard a shout it was Arthur's voice. Matt's arm still hung around me. He was holding me quite tightly. It was clear something was wrong his eyebrows we furrowed and a deep frown on his lips. I preferred the silence to anger so kept my mouth firmly shut. Leaning back into his arm I let out a heavy breath as we walked along. My hands were numb from the cold pulling my sleeves down I tried my best to keep my warmth. My legs started to wobble the hotel was further then I expected. By car it's seemed so short. Today was hell literally. Placing my hand in my pockets I felt the spike of the pin. Well a hell except for that. Heaviness fell over me. His arm seem to hold me all the tighter as if to support me. Soon I heard a click and opened my eyes to the dull hotel room. He'd finally let go and I stumbled forward flopping onto the bed lazily.

"Matt tell me what's wrong before I pass out" I sighed burying my face in the bed. "Who was he?" his voice was quite "Who? Oh that was Al-" "Allen!" he growled sitting up I held out my hands "No its Alfred and old friend of mine" I explianed "old friend eh?" his face twisted, what's his problem I really wasn't in the mood so I responded bluntly "He was Matthew's brother I met him at the cemetery" I raised my voice so the point was quite clear. He was acting like his brother right now what the hell is wrong with me returning with Alfred. "I don't see what's wrong are you jealous or something" I blurted my thoughts, tired anger taking over. His face softened "What if I am!" words still stern. He was? My heart stopped working for a split second. Glancing at me he seemed to be waiting for a reply. "Theres no need to be jealous it's not like I'm going anywhere anytime soon" I huffed. I didn't tell him directly but it still lifted some weight of my shoulders. No reply as he scratched the back of his neck. Leaving him with that I flung the cover over myself. Not caring to take of my shoes or hoodie instead I curled up and tired my best to forget most of today.
