Nightmare was angry; I could feel the force of his exhale on my face, because he was literally hovering above me, nose pressed awkwardly against my own.

Awkwardly, I mutter, "C- Can you mo--"

"ALEX!" He cuts me off anyway.

I stare at Gray, silently pleading, in hopes that he lifts Nightmare off of me. If this guy yells anymore, he'll cough up blood, and since he's currently practically laying on me, it'll fall all over my face.

Gray, the bastard, looks away.

"LOOK AT ME, AT LEAST!" Nightmare yells again. "ALEX, YOU--"

He's stopped.

Here it comes.

With as much strength as I can muster (which is a lot more than all of these bastards assume-- do they think that my biceps are for show or something?) I push Nightmare off me. He, much to his displeasure, ends up flying across the.......... void, that we stay in while I'm at a sleep meeting. Or sleep greeting. A sleepting.

Blood runs down his mouth and travels down to the floor and for a little while it's somehow in the air. Both Gray and Nightmare glare at me; Nightmare because holy shit, I've ruined his life and Gray because, holy shit, he's got to clean all of this up, I've ruined his life.

I force myself awake before either of the two can catch me.
