Riley skipped into class the next day. Her newly found feeling created a bubble of happiness inside if her. Maya was happy to seeing a smiley Riley was her favorite thing in the world. Riley had to drag Maya to school she promised Maya they wouldn't see her dad.
Riley found Lucas after class she ran up to him she was so excited, and nervous, to tell him how she felt.
"Lucas, Lucas" she yelled when she ran up to him.
"Yes Riley." He said
"I know something now."
"What? Is it algebra because I don't understand this chapter."
"Nope" Riley laughed
"Is it global warming because I don't think that is happening."
" No Lucas it is about you.?"
" Is it my childhood I can explain. I was six."
"Would you just listen." Riley said
"I'm listening." He answered
And that's when she kissed him. She didn't know how to explain the way she felt. It was easier to show it. And Lucas didn't stop her. He did like Maya but not the way he liked Riley. And he thought that Riley didn't feel the same way. So he waited.
When they pulled apart Lucas smiled and laughed them he held out his arm for Riley to take and he led her to her next
