Chapter Fourteen: Don't You Care.

Rileys head was spinning in every direction. She felt like she was being dramatic but her life was flipping upside down once again. She looked at Lucas who was stareing at her in disbeilf. She dnt want to brake up with him. That is just what came out.

'' I didn't mean the you know. Right?''She asked

''I know'' Lucas said as he sat next to her. '' Do you want to make up with Maya?''

''Of course I do but I have no idea what I did wrong.''

''So ask.''

The next day of school was ruff. Riley woke up with a head ache and she forgot brekfest. But she still did what Lucas suggested and asked Maya why she hated her.

'' I don't hate you.'' Maya said

'' Then why did you start ignoring me.''

" because you were happy and i just wasnt." Maya whined

" well are you now." Riley asked

"Im okay I think."

"well im glad."

The bell rings and Riley and Maya head to class. Laughing and joking. Riley was so happy. She felt that for once in her life she could have anything she wanted.

Lucas walked her home. They stopped for frozen yogurt on the way and talked about prom. Riley wanted to go. And Lucas wanted whatever made Riley happy.
