Five years before A Study in Pink, Sherloc walked into a crise scene and solved the crime in less than 5 minutes. Anderson arreted him as a suspect but lEstrade let him go. That's when the police started using Shelock as a consult. That's also why he likes Lestrade and hates Anderson.
