Emotional devastation aside, Lestrade suffered the most from Sherlock's fall. The chief put him on probation; his case record become a joke; he stopped speaking to Anderson and Donovan; his only friends; and his wife left him for the PE teacher for good. Accordingly, Lestrade was the most welcoming toward Sherlock upon his return.
