When the Watson baby finally arrives, Sherlock naturally tries to analyze him/her, but since it's a newborn, there's nothing to analyze. Over time, however, little things appear in Sherlock's analysis: "loves both John and Mary", "likes strawberries", "hates baths", etc. And then one day, as he's babysitting, he realizes the baby "loves Sherlock". Sherlock smiles and mutters very quietly that he loves the baby too.
