It’s been two weeks since I’ve kissed Collin and it’s been the best two weeks in a while. We’ve been inseparable. It was 5:30 am, and I was actually awake, talking to Collin on the phone.

“I’m not coming into school today.” He said. I groaned.

“Please?” I begged.

          “No. I- uh can’t.”

“Fine, but you have to-.” I was cut off by the sound of my bedroom door opening.

“I’ll call ya later, bye!” I quickly hung up. My mom walked in and approached me as I sat up.

“I knew I heard you.” I sat up as she walked toward my bed. My mom sat down on the edge of the bed.

“Was that Collin?” she asked sweetly. I nodded and smiled.

“He’s a nice, young man. Make sure he treats you right.”

“He does mom.”

“Good. He should come to dinner tonight.” She suggested.

“Sure, he’ll like that.” She smiled widely and walked out the door. I couldn’t help but smile too. Everything was finally okay. I had Collin, Harry wasn’t feeling left out anymore because he was dating Madison; and I didn’t mind going to school. I mean it was hard to see Joe but I’ve gotten over it. It bought back memories every time I saw his face though. I got up from my bed and went to shower. I dried off quickly and picked out an outfit. I decided on a sleeveless white button up shirt, denim shorts and white flats. I left my hair curly and applied makeup. I ran downstairs and into the kitchen where I found my parents talking.

“Someone’s up early!” My dad chirped.

“Thought I’d get an early start.” I gave him a warm smile. I grabbed my bag from the kitchen table and left. I walked to school since it was nice out. I reached the school’s parking lot within twenty minutes, when I noticed it was empty; meaning the doors were probably locked. I sat on the curb in the parking lot waiting for someone to show up. I played on my phone for a while when I heard a car door shut. I shot my head up and immediately regretted it. I saw Joe walking my way.

“What are you doing here so early?” he asked while standing in front of me. I stood up quickly so he wasn’t towering over me as much.

“Hello to you too.” I said.

“Hello… but seriously why are you here so early?” He questioned.

“I woke up early and I forgot it was early.” I said looking at the ground.

“Let’s go inside.” He said out of no-where. I nodded and watched him unlock the door. I stared at him intently, taking in his beautiful features again. He looked over his shoulder and smirked at me. My face flushed red and I was filled with embarrassment. He finally got the door open. We walked inside quietly to his homeroom. He got himself situated at his desk while I sat at mine awkwardly.

          “Charlie, how’ve you been?”

“Okay. You- um, how have you been?” I asked quite nervously.

“Hanging in there… I heard you’re dating Collin.” He said while organizing papers.

“And I heard that you’re dating a student’s sister.”
