~ Chapter 30 Part 1 ~

Drowsiness slowly left me as something dragged on the floor making my eyes slowly flutter open. A random chair was spontaneously scraping against the ground. I almost screamed, but a split second after I opened my mouth, I noticed Alex was tied to the chair. What is he doing on the ground with a chair attached to himself? I should help him up before he gets hurt. In agreement with my thoughts, I turned to stand up but found that my arms and legs wouldn't budge. I too was strapped to a chair.

"Tori? Are you awake?" Alex asked from below. His chair had fallen over, probably in his attempt at escaping. The room was almost completely dark, being the only source of light was from a crack through a door. It sat at the top of a set of stairs.

"Yea. I am now," I mumbled. "Where's everyone else?"

"I think they're in a-"

The top door burst open cutting Alex off. A bright stream of light filled the room making me squint my eyes. "Ah, look who's awake."

"Darell," Alex growled through clenched teeth.

"Alex," Darell mimicked earning him a glare.

"Where are we and what are you going to do with us? Where's Logan and my sister?" I bombarded him with questions. They seriously need to grow up and focus on what's important!

"I can't tell you that Sweetie. I'm not going to tell you what my super devious plan is!" He laughed an evil laugh that only exists in movies while rubbing his hands together.

"Seriously dude? Why would you act like a dork especially in front of a young lady? You're just making a fool of yourself. Despicable," Alex criticized.

To my surprise, Darell's cheeks turned slightly rosy. He looked sheepishly at me and scratched the back of his head as if doubting his actions.

"It's not polite to tie a girl to a chair either," I added, pointing out my tied wrists.

Darell gave me a flat look, "Oh, I know what you're trying to do! You're trying to trick me into letting you free. Sorry Honey. You're not going anywhere. I'm not that stupid!" He crossed his arms and huffed like a little kid. Is he being serious? I mean, I've never seen an evil villain act so immature. Maybe he hasn't been laid in a while, I sniggered.

"Stop laughing at me!"

I shrugged my shoulders, "You're ridiculous."

"Shut up!"

"Ow, that really hurt me!" I said sarcastically, making my eyes tear up.

"I said shut up!"

"Darell! Get the hell out here!" One of his minions stood in the doorway and gestured for him to go outside. Darell groaned,  rolled his eyes, slumped his shoulders, and trotted out of the room. Finally! He was getting irritating with his whole act to be intimidating when he really was just being an idiot. That guy needs to know when to back off and when to give people space. Although he can be entertaining, now wouldn't be a good time.

"Thank goodness. I was wondering when he'd finally leave." Alex flipped his hair out of eyes. His hair's really long. Then again we've been on a wild goose chase  leaving no time for haircuts.

Where's Lexi and Logan? Why would Darell separate the four of us? Logan was definitely injured and Lex was knocked out. Would they put them together because they were both hurt? No. It can't be that since Alex was wounded too.

"Wait, Alex, didn't you get shot? Twice?" I questioned him, suddenly wondering how his legs were and why he wasn't screaming in agony from the pain.
