Kinda just fluff, real drama starts next chapter.
"Take care of her," Steve says and walks out of (y/n) bedroom.
Clint let's out his held breath, and looks down at your sleeping face. He didn't want to lose Steve's trust or friendship. Neither of them could afford that on the field."Steve, I'm sorry," Bruce says as Steve walks by him and heads towards the elevator.
"I'm going to take a few days off, I'll see you guys later," Steve's voice cracks as he gets into the elevator.
"I'm sorry Captain, would you like me to let Director Fury know of your impending time off?" JARVIS asks.
"Thank you JARVIS." Steve said letting a few tears slide down his face."(Y/n), wake up sleepy head," I hear Clint's voice say in my ear.
"No, go back to sleep." I growl and pull the blankets up over my face.
"Get up you lazy ass, Nat and Bruce are already ready to go,"Tony's voice rang thru your room.
"Isn't it my R&R time, I'm the one that's suffering, you asshats, shouldn't I be allowed to sleep in?" I retort grabbing my phone and checking the time. "What the fuck guys, who the hell gets up at 7 a.m. on a Saturday, are you insane?"I yell, snuggling back into the blankets.Considering that I had just broke up with Steve Rogers, I felt okay. I was still shattered that I couldn't help him get passed Peggy, but I couldn't keep waiting or pretending. Could I?
"Cmon (y/n/n), let's get this party started!" Nat yelled, while walking into your closet and grabbing a suitcase.
"Fine, you assholes," I huffed and slowly crawled out of bed.
"I'm going to go pack, I'll meet you guys out by the car," Clint says after you head into your bathroom."Steve wait!?" Clint yelled running through the building after Steve. "Please."
"Clint," Steve sighed stopping at his motorcycle. "Look, you love her, have you've always loved her, I know I heard Tony."
Clint sighed, "I have loved her from the moment I met her, but I never betrayed our friendship. Never."
"Look, Clint you're my friend, with everything that's going on I'm angry, sad, defeated, and just numb. She's right, we can't keep doing this. Peggy is always there, maybe she's not the one." It hurt Steve to say that, but what else could he say.
"I'm sorry Steve." Clint patted Steve's back.
"I know you are, I do love her, but apparently I just can't seem to move on from the past." Steve sighed looking up at the tower. "I need to go, Thor wants to take me to Asguard for a few days." Steve said firing up his bike. "Ill see yah Clint."Le time skip brought to you by my hamsters speed balling it
"We ready?" Tony asks throwing luggage into his oversized Suburban.
"Where's Thor?" I ask climbing in and sitting next to Clint.
"He decided to stay with Steve this weekend. He didn't think it was right to leave him alone." Bruce said patting my hand.
"I think Thor is taking him to Asguard for a few days." Clint added.
"Oh, ok." I shrugged my shoulders. As the morning went on the more bad I felt, but what was I supposed to do? I couldn't wait for him to get over Peggy forever right, what if he never did get over her? But what if he needed a little more time, a heart to heart discussion, before I threw it all away?
The overwhelmingly sense of guilt hit me, how could I abandon him when he's been through so much? I wrapped my arms around my stomach.
"Hey, are you okay?" Clint asked putting his warm, muscled arm around me.
"Just making myself feel worse than I already do?" I said trying to keep the tears at bay.
"Here let's get in the bench seat, so we can talk, and sleep if you want." Clint said moving me towards the back of the Truck.
"Hurry up, it's gonna take us a while to get there." Tony said starting the truck.
"Where are we going anyways?" I ask plopping down in the long back seat.
"It's a surprise (y/n/n)." Tony said catching your eye in the rear view mirror and slamming the gas.
