"(Y/n)!" Steve yelled, as he burst into the basement. Bucky's cage was busted open and there were bodies all over the floor. Including the psychiatrist and hers. The anger Steve felt was beyond reproach. He grabbed the psychiatrist by the throat and lifted him into the air.
"Who are you?!" Steve yelled, slamming the man down on the ground.
"Steve..." he heard her voice call out to him. "Go... please, go get Bucky.."

"Now, Steve!" I screeched, slowly getting up. Blood was leaking from my nose and my ankle was twisted, probably broken, but the tears leaking down my face weren't from the pain. I had to watch the man I love turn back into the monster that we had spent the last two years trying to  break.
Buck had busted open from his cage and plowed through the guards and the psychiatrist. Then he started on my own cage, breaking it and tossing me towards the wall. My voice must have gotten through somewhat because once I called his name and touched his face, he dropped me and left, moving towards the elevator.

"GO! BEFORE HE KILLS SOMEONE!"

Steve nodded at me and ran, leaving me to drag myself up.
"The damage has been done princess," the psychiatrist lamented, running out out of the room.
I groaned and screamed with pain as I headed upstairs, hearing the yells and gunshots. For the first time in my life I prayed, not for myself, but for Bucky.

I made it upstairs, picked up a 9mm off the floor, only too see both Steve and James head to the roof, towards the helicopter.
"(Y/n), stop!" Nat yelled as I stepped into the elevator.
"Sorry mama bear," I growled, pressing the button to the roof.

"I'm not letting you go again!" Steve yelled, pulling the leg of the helicopter towards him.

The building shook as I saw parts of the helicopter fall into the the small outlet of water below us.
"Oh god, no." I gasped as the helicopter fell into the water below, with Bucky pushed against the window. I shot out the glass of the elevator and jumped, crying out when my feet hit the water. I gritted my teeth and swam towards the helicopter, pulling Bucky out through the broken glass of the nose.
I opened my mouth to scream when Steve's face appeared in front of mine, and pointed towards the east. He grabbed Buck and began dragging him towards the east side of the inlet, with me following close behind him.

I was sitting in front of Bucky's still body, waiting for him to come too, while Steve and Sam argued behind me. I was wet, exhausted and trying to fight thru the pain. Sam had stuck Bucky's metal arm between a vice, nearly squashing it, regardless of how much I screamed against it.

"Steve, there's no going back now." Sam lamented behind me.
"I know." I heard Steve retort.
"I hope to god he's worth all this?" Sam quipped.
"He is Wilson, we were doing fine.. he was getting so much better... that psychiatrist, he knew the words.." I started to say, "he knew the words..."
"What words?" Sam asked, moving back into the room.
"Words that make him go all Manchurian Candidate.." I snapped, pushing small strands of hair off Buck's forehead. "The words have to be strung together, in a certain order for them to work... those words haven't been uttered since Pierce, but that asshole knew the words.. this was all just a set up.."
"Okay so he's unstable, we knew that already.." Sam snorted.
"If my ankle didn't hurt like a son of a bitch, I would get up and beat the living shit out of you, Wilson." I growled, struggling to get up.

"Hey, I should beat the shit out of you, what the hell were you thinking?! You left Steve almost dead on the fucken riverbank, and for what?! For this, this... Two years (y/n)! Two years we've spent looking for you, Nat and Steve have been doing everything they could to find you..!" Sam shouted as Steve looked on. The sadness in Steve's eyes as he looked upon us took out every bit of fight I had left, because Sam was right, but even now if I had a choice, I would do it all over again.
"I was doing what I thought was right, I couldn't let him leave alone... I... I don't know how to explain it, but..." I paused, sitting back down next to Bucky's still form. "I love him, I feel like I always have.. that sounds stupid right.. loving someone before you've even met the person? I had to help him."
"You're kidding right?" Sam snorted. I huffed as I tried to get up, clenching my fist.
