"Hello", I answered.
"Babe, I'm on my way getting off the highway", He said.
"Ok,well I just wait in the car cause I'm pulling into the parking lot now".
"Aight,I see you in a few...Love you!
"I love you too".
We was at the point were we are telling each other we love you when we get off the phone or leave each other.We been going to counseling for about a month now.It has really helping our relationship and marriage.I'm happy that we are in a better place then a month ago but we definitely still have work to do.
I waited in the car scrolling through my Facebook and instagram.I heard music bumping and I already knew it was black.I looked up and he was getting out the car walking toward me.He open the door and smiled.
"Hey babe",He said leaning against the car door.
"Hey".
I reach over grabbing my purse before stepping out the door. He grab my hand as we walk to the door.Today we was meeting with our marriage counselor to update her on how everything been going this past month.
Walking in the receptionist desk and signing in we waited for a couple minutes.
"Dr.Thomas is ready for you guys",Her receptionist spoke.
We stood up and follow behind her.She open the door and Dr. Thomas was sitting in her chair waiting.
"Good afternoon",She spoke smiling.
"Hey",I said and smiled.
"Hey Dr. Thomas",Black spoke also.
"So how have you guys been"? She asked.
We look at each other and smiled.
"For the most it been going really good",I answered with a smile on my face.
"How so"?
"Ummm well we definitely communicate more".
"Ok so that was the big problem was communication and also Rashad work hours",She said looking at black then me.
"I definitely have cut back on them if I do stay late she gets a text or a call letting her know what's going on",Black answered.
Which was definitely true.He has cut his work load to a minimum.I really happy about that.I don't feel like a single parent anymore.
"That's great so what do we need to work on moving forward"?
"I think we still need counseling because the problem we facing didn't just happen overnight and they can't be fix overnight either",I said with black nodding his head.
"Okay,so the next step is time,which means one of you guys need to plan something with just you all.A time away from work,the baby,household things.It doesn't have to be nothing crazy or big just where you enjoying each other company".
After the session we was walking to the cars.
"So we have to plan something good.We do need time alone",I said.
"Yeah definitely",Black said opening my door.
"I want a vacation".
"Babe we can do whatever you want".
I laugh and said okay.
He shut the door and I rolled down my window.
"So I'll see you when you get home" I said.
"Aight", He said leaning in to peck my lips.
He step back and I put the car in reverse and pull away.
We are nowhere near what we used to be but we getting close to it.
-So this is hella short but I'm still a little stuck on this book.
