**Ashley's POV**

As soon as Luke spoke those words, an idea popped in my mind.

"Hey! I have an idea!" I quickly interrupted. He looked at me with confusion plastered on his face.

"And what might that be? Considering you don't know half of the stuff that goes on in my life and the people too."

"Luke, I'm just trying to help." I glared at him as I spoke with a grimace.

"Woah, calm down. I was just joking."

"Whatever." I said to him as I turned the other direction and looked out of the window. Seeing an unfamiliar car pull into the driveway, I glanced back to Luke and pointed towards the unknown car.

"No fucking way." He quietly spoke to himself. "Skylar! Get down here now! Hurry!" What was going on? Before I could ask Luke, Skylar came sprinting down the stairs.

"Yeah, I know. I saw his car. What the hell is he doing here? You better get Ashley out of here, you too. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Now leave. Go out the backdoor and sneak your bike away when he enters the house. I got this." Luke then nodded and quickly pulled me towards the back of the house, hand in hand. Little tingles were jolting through my body at Luke's touch.

**Luke's POV**

As we made our way, quietly, towards my bike, I just couldn't help but to take a glance down at out intertwined hands. I was happy to be this close to her. I needed to stop putting her into these bad situations, but she just wouldn't leave my side.

"Luke, what the hell is going on?!" Ashley asked me.

"I'll tell you later, just know that my dad is back."

"What? Wait, when?"

"You see that car in the driveway?" Ashley nodded as I pointed towards Dad's beaten up convertible, "Well that's my dad's. I didn't want you to be there when he came back."

"Where are we going? I seriously don't want to go back to my house." I smirked as I thought of an idea. It was about time I brought this girl on a proper date, even though I only had a twenty on me.

The wind was brushing my hair behind my ears as we abruptly stopped at a diner. The Hollywood Diner was always a must-stop. There food was kind of cheap and I loved how the food tasted.

"Hey, what are we doing here? I love this place." I was happy that Ashley was happy. I then took her hand and pulled her close to me. Her head came about right under my chin, so she was looking up into my eyes.

"Ashley Tanner, it would be an honor if you would accompany me on our first date."

"A-a date?" She was so cute when she stuttered.

"Yes, a date Ashley." She then smiled and spoke up.

"I would love too, also because I'm starving." She then chuckled as I pulled her into the diner.

As we entered, a cool breeze brushed over us and I saw Ashley's messy hair wisp across her face. I stared in awe at her small, diamond shaped face.

"What?" She asked me as she saw me drinking in her features. I smiled back at her and shrugged.

"Nothing, I was just wondering why you're so beautiful." She then blushed and I looped my arm with her's as we waited for a hostess to bring us to a table.
