DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN DIVERGENT, THAT BELONGS TO THE VERY TALENTED VERONICA ROTH.

Once everyone is down we head back to The Compound and make our way down to The Pit. We're all laughing and Shauna and Chris are riding on Zeke and Al's backs.

"Hey Tris, bet I could beat you to the other side of The Pit." Uri challenges getting into a running stance.

"Ok, GO!" I shout and take off before he even processed what I was saying.

"Hey that's not fair." Uri yells behind me while I weave between people.

"Lifes not fair!" I yell looking over my shoulder to see him a few feet behind me. I turn around and speed up almost knocking a few people over as I make my way through them.

"Tris?" I hear a familiar deep voice calling after me as I run past but I don't slow down.

"Sorry winning a race here!" I yell back with a smile.

"In your dreams." Uri says next to me. The railing is now a few feet infront of me and I jump forward touching it just before he does than falling to the ground.

"Ha I win!" I yell pointing up at him as I used the railing to pull myself up.

"No you didn't, it was a tie!" He says crossing his arms.

"No! I beat you!" I say and he pouts

"Only because you cheated." He whines and I smirk.

"So you admit I win." I chuckle and he huffs.

"Only this time."  He groans and I lean back on the railing, my smirk growing. Soon the rest of our friends join us, Will holding a pack of beer per hand. They stop at the railing and Will hands out the beers but I decline. We all start joking around being our normal rowdy selves before I see Eric pass by.

"Hey Eric!" Christina shouts from next to me and I look at her. She winks at me then waves Eric over. "Come join us." She says once he's closer. Chris hands him a beer and offers me one.

"Come on Trissy have just one." She whines and I shake my head.

"Chris no." I say and she pouts walking away leaving me alone with Eric.

"Hi." I say smiling slightly.

"Hi." He replies a smile matching my own. "I was actually looking for you." He says leaning on the railing next to me taking a sip from his beer.

"Oh? And why is that?" I ask turning to face him.

"Well, I have some good new." He leans closer to me. "I spoke to Max and told him I was developing feelings for a certain initiate." He pauses and smiles at me before taking another swig.

"And?" I ask anxiously.

"And I removed myself from the rankings process, insuring a fair judgment, and both your and my positions here in Dauntless are unaffected by our relationship." He moves his hand over mine on the railing and I smile up at him.

"Oh, so we're a relationship now?" I tease. "I don't recall being asked to make this official, although I could be forgetting. Hmmm." I smirk and tap my chin in mock thought. "Nope, don't remember that." I shake my head and look back to him.

"Well Tris would you like this to be official?" He asks leaning closer to whisper it his breath brushing over my skin sending a shiver down my spine.

"Um, I don't know, I may have to think about that." I chuckle and wink and he just shakes his head, rolls his eyes and turns my hand to lace our finger together. "I guess we could be." I stretch the words out and smile and he returns it then squeezes my hand gently.
