Chapter 1 ~ Embarrassment

 

"I want to be with you always Maddison, please don't leave me alone."

The sound of my name from his sculptured lips sends a good shiver all over my body.

"I will never leave. I promise."

Jeron's arms circled around my body and we lay still, just looking at each other, appreciating that he is here, with me.

"Maddison, I want to say something."

"Yes, what is it?"

"I-"

"Aaaahh!"

"Maddison!"

"Jeron help me!"

"I can't reach you! Give me your hand!"

"I can't, its too far..."

"Jeron!!"

"Maddison!!"

And I'm suddenly falling, all at once, I'm engulfed with brightness.

"Am I dead?"

"No sleepyhead, your alive and kicking, so start getting up if you don't want to be dead."

Hello world. New morning. New challenges ahead. Alexis, my dorm mate, made my breakfast, her best and famous: coffee and pancake.

"Ouch!" My butt hurts.

"Oh? Hindi ka pa ba manhid? Ilang beses ka ng nalaglag sa higaan na may kasabay na, 'Jeron! Help me!' Sana hinatak mo na lang si Jeron sa panaginip mo, baka sakaling mapunta siya dito." Siraulo talaga 'tong si Alexis! Pero hindi na bago un, lagi ko naman talagang napapanaginipan si Jeron myloves ^^

"Shut up Alex! Alam mo naman ang nangyari. Masakit un para samin ni Jeron."

Alexis walked to my side and put her hands on my shoulder and said, "Madds,

Ang drama mo!" PAK!

"ARAY! Bakit kailangan may batok?" Makakaganti din ako dito mamaya. Wait ka lang.

"Kailangan un! Para magising ka na sa katotohanan! Let's go! We're going to be late! And Mrs. Donor will not like it very much."

Me, Alexis and Samantha are 2nd year Architecture students from the one of the oldest universities in the Philippines: University of Santo Tomas! Taray! Proud eh!

We're on our way down when Alexis forgot her phone. Naman. Bakit ngayon pa? Malalate na kami!

"I'll be back really fast!"

While waiting I saw some basketball men players going straight to the gym then suddenly that one guy that makes me crazy pops out of my mind with the memory I couldn't forget: I accidentally scraped his arm with my fingernails. Just thinking of it make me want the earth to eat me right now. It's so embarrassing! Buti na lang hindi siya dito nag-aral with his brother. Nako kung nagkataon, ay nakooo! Thank God Alexis is here, I can divert my mind to some other productive things.
