After Maya ran away I huffed. I have to remember that she is a vampire, she is not really like me. She has to have blood, though I liked that she doesn't feed on humans. I mean Aro probably had her feed on some humans but on her own she hunts animals. Feeling lonely I walked around back to the Cullen's house. Rosalie had Renesme and jake was watching them. I walked over to jake and started talking to him
"Do you ever think that she will grow up and still need to suck the blood out of animals?"
"Yea, looks like Maya will need to do that once in a while, though she is different so I don't know what differences she will have."
"Vampires can't have children"
"They also don't sleep."
"...but Maya does"
"Exactly"
Soon enough Esme came back with Maya and her eyes were back to a red color. Maya spotted me and smiled. She headed up the stair up to us.
"Just hope Seth, that's all you can do"
Jake said to me before turning and leaving.
"Hey"
I turned back to Maya.
"Hi"
"Sorry, I needed to-"
"Don't say sorry, you have to suck the blood out of animals. It's who you are"
"But...I'm not a monster"
"If that's what you think"
Maya turned away from me, I was being harsh to her I know but it's who she is, she will always have to suck the life out of a helpless animal. She then left and I know I should have gone after her but I dint.
