I enjoy polyvore too much, btw. And now the fuuuun starts!

She couldn't help it. As soon as her head hit the pillow, the monster in her stomach stretched its claws.

Man, it hurt.

It hurt that two strangers had hugged her and had been happy because she was with them this Christmas. It hurt that virtual strangers treated her more like family than she had ever been treated.

It felt so wrong, yet so... Blissful.

She couldn't help but to shed a few tears as she lay there in the darkness, listening to the steady breaths of Ginny.

She had known the Weasley's since September, so almost four months. Yet they had treated her more like a sister and friend than her own family ever had. That wasn't normal, she knew it.

It hurt like hell, yet she couldn't keep up the sadness. The Burrow made her feel all fussy inside.

This was going to be the best Christmas of her life yet, she could feel it.

Both her and Ginny had woken up fairly early, but since it was the 23 they opted for mindlessly snoozing until nine. At nine Máni had had enough of them and was demanding to be let out.

Ginny was first out of the room, Máni trailing behind her. He was obviously counting on the young girl to get him something else than Kneazle grub.

Claire stood by her suitcase for a moment, quietly debating what to wear. There was always the never ending blue dresses or... Oh well, why not. It was Christmas!

She slipped on thick, grey stockings that felt nice and snuggly. Over that she put on a high necked, white skater dress that fit snuggly over her torso, covering her arms and flaring out at the hips. It went down to right above her knees, so it was pretty and proper.

She brushed out her silvery blonde tresses and pulled out her wand, making them curl softly down her back. Even with curls, her hair hit the middle of her back.

She looked in the mirror and opted for only spelling her eyelashes black, it wasn't like she needed to look dashing.

She exited the bedroom and found herself down the stairs, where the scent of warm bread and eggs wafted ever so tantalizing. She got down the endless staircase and entered the kitchen, hair dancing behind her as she positively skipped her way in there. Mrs. Weasley gave her a hearty smile as she stood by the oven, seeing to the eggs and bacon.

"Good morning, Claire." She said with a voice as warm as melted butter. Her slightly disheveled red hair brushed back and she was wearing simple red robes. It was apparently a casual morning, which was absolutely glorious. Ginny sat by the table, munching down her eggs, and if she wasn't mistaken she saw the butt of her Kneazle. By the sound of his slurping, he was enjoying himself thoroughly with some bacon.

"Good morning, Mrs. Weasley." Claire said with a big smile. She grabbed a plate and immediately got a lot of food.

"You're so skinny!" Mrs. Weasley said with an indulgent smile, and Claire took it all happily. She would probably eat herself into oblivion here... She sat down with her plate at the opposite side of Ginny. While chewing on divine bread she eyed Máni.

"Pigging out are we, Banana?" She raised one eyebrow, but the feline didn't even gaze at his companion. Claire just shrugged an continued eating her breakfast.

"I hope you don't mind." Ginny said with a smile, Claire shook her head. She had a feeling that Máni would also eat himself into oblivion.

"Such a nice tempered Kneazle." Mrs. Weasley said as she also sat down by the table. "Ginny tells me that your parents breed them." She sipped at her coffee while Máni finally finished his breakfast, sitting down on a chair and starting to clean his face.
