Okay, this might not be an action filled chapter, but we need to build the relationship! Enjooooy

"It's late." She muttered, looking down on her one shoeclad foot, Bill casually held onto her other boot.

"Pfft, it's 12:30, barely even evening!" He smiled widely before bending down and slipping on her boot. "You should come with me, I'll show you England at its best." He put out one arm, like a true gentleman. She couldn't help but to chuckle, taking it and getting up from the swing.

"Are you insinuating that France is boring?" She tried to cross her arms, but he just took her hand instead. That previous spark flared up and she tore away her hand, shaking it like she had been electrified. "You're messing with my magic!" Pouting she looked from her hand to his.

"Maybe you just need to calm down?" Oh man, how was she supposed to calm down when he flashed her one of those smiles? She shook her head again and took one step forward.

"Fine, but should I change?" She looked down at her knitted cardigan draped over a tight fitted cream blouse. The maroon scarf over it made it a bit less chilly. At least her black pants and knee high grey stockings made it bearable.

"Nah, we're hitting a bar." Once again he took her hand, but very gently. She didn't even object as he grinned down at her, the world being sucked away from behind her navel. The world in a straw.

With a giant headache and shivering knees they landed on the snow covered pavement outside The Leaky Cauldron. And immediately, of course, Claire lost her footing. With one foot reaching heavens and the feeling that her butt was going to really feel this tomorrow, she was shocked when two from arms caught her by the waist.

"Hey now! Mum is gonna kill me if you come home with a broken tailbone!" He chuckled heartily as he steadied her on her slightly wobbly feet.

"Good thing that one of us are able to land properly." She snickered, hugging herself as she felt the warm resonant of where his hands had been mere moments ago.

"You're clumsy, good to know!" He grinned down at her and made Claire wonder if he ever looked anything but happy.

She couldn't envision Bill sad or mad, his angular features combined with piercing blue eyes and fiery, long hair making her think of a happy fox. It was just something about him, other than his unusually good looks - it might have something to do with that Weasley touch.

Together they entered The Leaky Cauldron, which didn't exactly... Impress her. Yet she would hesitate with her reservation.

"Merry Christmas, Tom!" Bill called out to the elderly bar an that seemed to have a slow night.

"Merry Christmas, Bill. Two Firewhiskey?" Bill looked at Claire and nodded before the two of them found a booth in the back.

It was nice and toasty, the fireplace not to far away blazing away. Before they could even take of they coats the Firewhiskey was at the table.

"I don't usually drink whiskey." She smirked, peeling off her thick cardigan and lavish scarf. As she bared her knitted, tight fitted cream sweater and black skinny jeans, she caught his eyes. She snickered a little as he was obviously ogling. Not that she was any better, she sat down and watched him in a black, long sleeved shirt, blue distressed jeans and... Man. He was just something else, so different from the boys at Beaxbatons, the only other place she had otherwise dated. And then she had only had fleeting flirtations, none had even caught her eye as much as Bill did.

He sat down with her and raised his glass, they clinked it and took a swig. Claire only took a small sip, savoring the burning sensation that the otherwise satisfactory drink left.
