Finally, the clocked had ticked past midnight. There shouldn't be anyone out or awake. I tiptoed up the stairs and out my door. I skillfully snuck my way to the back doors. They creaked once, and I paused, listening to my dad's snores. The last time I would hear them. I saddened at the thought, but they wanted to take me away from home.

If they wanted me gone, then I would go. Which was what I was doing. I wasn't running away for me, I was running for them. And my mate. Once past the door, I shifted into my black wolf. I had gotten my father's wolf. I was a real daddy's girl.

The bag still on my shoulders, I pelt off, leaving my shredded clothes behind. I let my wolf take the reigns as I rested my mind. She didn't care, because she had been cooped up for a month. She blocked us off in case another wolf was out.

Which there was, as we found out before we reached the pack's borders. My father's beta was patrolling by himself when he saw me. He tried to contact me, but grew frusterated when he found my block. So, instead, he shifted. I adverted my eyes.

"Tilly! What are you doing? Why do you have a bag? I'm getting your father." His voice was rough, but he didn't want me to leave either. He was like an uncle to me. But I was willing to do whatever I could to get out of this place.

I snarled at him. Usually, I hunched down as a wolf, but tonight I let her go to her full size. I pinned my ears back and bit the air in anger. Sheen took a step back in surprise. I heard the pounding of my father's paws. I didn't have a lot of time.

Careful not to break the skin, I grabbed Sheen's stomach in my mouth and tossed him over my shoulder. I resumed my running. Weaving through the trees, I tried to make my father confused of which direction I went. Eventually, I passed the border. It was like a pressure was lifted from my shoulders and mind.

I didn't hear the paws anymore, but I heard my father's tearful howls. I let one out in return, then turned and ran. I kept running. I watched the sun rise as I ran, and felt it on my back later. I couldn't stop running.

Eventually, I had to stop though. I had to let her rest. I shifted back and put some clothes on. I walked and walked, growing numb to the sounds around me. It was only when I came to a road that I realized it was there. I decided to turn left and follow it.

It wasn't until the next day that I gave in and stuck my thumb out. About a day past before someone pulled over. It was some 40 year old chick in a Corvette. "Hey, you need a ride?" she asked kindly. I nodded. She grinned and unlocked the doors. I had to go around the car in order to get in.

"Sorry if I get your car dirty..." I mumbled. She waved a hand. "No worries. So where ya headed?" she asked, checking her mirrors in case a car was coming. "As far as you can take me." I answer as she pulled back onto the right side of the road. "Well, I'm going all the way to California. You can stick around if you wish."

I looked at her, my eyes wide with shock. She smiled at me. "What's your name?" she questioned. "Tilly. And thank you so much..." I really was not able to put my gratitude into words. She waved her hand again. Her bleach blonde hair was blowing around in the wind. "My name is Barbara, but you can call me Barbie." she laughed.

For the first time in a month, I smiled. I leaned back against the seat, needing some more shut eye. My wolf looked contempt, if not happy. This is going to be very interesting. she laughed. I grinned again.

Because we were in Florida, it took as almost five days to drive to Hollywood. Lucky for me, they all went by in a blur. The only thing that I really remember is that my butt hurt. Like, a lot. Plus, I found out that Barbie had just divorced her husband and already had a nice apartment payed for.

Pulling into the aparment's garage, Barbie was grinning. Then I realized that I was too. Barbie and I had gotten really close from all that driving. By the time she opened the door, it was already night time. Flicking on the light, Barbie showed me the apartment.

The living room was rather spacious. It had hard wood and was opened to the kitchen by a swinging door. In the middle was a white couch facing a very large flat screen T.V. that was against the wall. Barbie continued down a hall to the right and opened a door. "This will be yours if you decide to stay." she said with no emotion.

I nodded. "If you don't mind..." I still had some omega traits. Barbie smiled and pulled me into a hug. Even though that I was five-foot-three, I was still taller. I hugged her back. "Now how about we get some sleep? I'll see you when you wake up." She waved to me, and I returned it.

I turned to my new room. It was a little smaller than my old one, but I really didn't mind. I was happy for the first time since I was rejected. Ah, fuck him. He's missing out. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have met Barbie. I nodded.

The bed was a queen size, and had tempurpedic on it. The pillows and sheets were white. The closet was double-doored, and a small dresser was in front of the foot of the bed, against the wall. Tossing my bag on top of it, I fell onto my new bed.

I was out like a light. This time, I dreamt about meeting actors and actresses, with Barbie at my side. We went to the stars in the sidewalk and took pictures of them with us beside the plaque. We laughed, ate hot dogs, and watched movies. I felt myself smile in my sleep.
