Chapter 19
He awakes to the chirpings of birds in heat as the sun is setting. His mate is curled in her usual fetal position this time facing him rather than away. She looks so innocent, so peaceful that a perfect stranger would never guess the spit-fire to have the problems she has and has been through already in her life. He brushes the floppy strands of platinum blonde hair from her forehead and grins when her face twitches with annoyance. The hand traces down her arm to the soft curve of her hips and rests there as he kisses her head gently.
Eli climbs out and grabs a fresh pair of silk boxers before padding over into the kitchen. Checking the cupboards he realises it’s going to take some improvisation though with his culinary expertise, it’ll be fine.Food. The waft of food cooking was what woke Ivy and boy was she glad someone was cooking. Groaning she grabs her t-shirt off the floor and slips into some clean underwear before going in search for the food.
“Well don’t you look perfectly domesticated,” she teases leaning against the island counter and trying to figure out what he’s cooking.
Eli whips around and cocks an eyebrow at her.
“Why don’t you come closer and say that, baby? Maybe then I can show you how domesticated I really am,” he smirks, eyes darkening as they wander down her short frame to soft exposed legs.
Ivy just about manages to suppress the shudder of lust and feign nonchalance as she glides up to him and peeks into the pot on the stove.
“What is that?” she curiously asks. It just looked like he’d thrown everything he could lay his hands on in there. Besides that, Ivy was not at all sure what the meat was supposed to be or if there even was a meat in there. Eli gives it a stir and shrugs.
“Oh...It’s...a surprise!” he cheerfully states.
Ivy gives him a dead-panned look and gazes back down to the pot before rhetorically asking, “is the surprise food poisoning? ‘Cause if so, I think I’ll pass.”
“Now why on earth would I want to poison you, Tinks? I need you well and fuelled for the things I wanna do to you,” he jeers, one hand running down her spine and pinching the taut muscle.
“Eek. Eli! Jeez, you’re like a dog in heat...Literally,” she giggles.
“I’m not a damned dog,” he mutters, his pride deflating as he turns his attention back to the food.
“Of course not baby, you’re a big, strong wolf-man,” she teases and then asks “...So anything you need to prepare me on before we go to your club?”
“Nothing in particular,” he grins to himself.
“So what should I wear? Latex?”
“Classy not trashy, baby. But if you want to wear latex after, I think we can work something out.”
A flying pillow comes flying at his face, hitting him square before thumping to the floor.
“I was kidding. As if I’d wear latex...ever,” mutters Ivy turning back to the wardrobe, half stacked with her clothes. As Ivy struggles to find an outfit sexy without being too revealing, she’s unaware of the attention she’s captured with her underwear clad lower half. Eli slides along to her, his body flushing against her back and arms circling around her small frame.
“Ivy...it honestly doesn’t matter. You look good in anything, baby...” he says kissing up the side of her neck. Ivy has to bite her lip as her heart clenches at his sweet words, but of course he wouldn’t be him if he didn’t add something crude to the end of it.
“But even better naked,” he adds causing Ivy to roll her eyes.
“Thank you for that enlightening opinion but go! I need to get dressed...”she dryly commands choosing the dark green chiffon dress hiding in the pile of t-shirts. How did that even get there?
As Ivy slips on the dress, she grimaces remembering once more why she dislikes it. The cloth wraps around her almost like a second skin. It had been bought as a sexy whim from when she was younger and perhaps a little drunk. Although, she can’t deny it is beautiful...maybe not so much on her. The black lace flowers are draped over the fern coloured material that’s cut out in a heart shaped neckline with inch wide straps. It ends about half-way down her legs and with her slim figure there’s not a bump on lump that sticks out undesirably. Still, as good as she looks in it...it’s not exactly her style-slutty. Well, reassures Ivy to herself, she is going to be walking into a BDSM Club owned by...her boyfriend, naturally.
