Chapter 17: Waiting

You woke up with a big smile on your face. "Today's the day!" You run over to the curtains and drew them open and run back over to Hinata. "Wake up!" She opened her eyes shocked and just turned over in her bed and pulled the covers up over her face. "Come on!" You pull the quilt off completely so she is laying there cold. "O-ok I'm up" she rubs her eyes and sits up. You skip downstairs and see Neji making breakfast. "Oh hello (y/n)," he looks over his shoulder and back around to the food he was making. "I've got some for you and Hinata," you walk up to him and offer some help. Hinata comes down slowly and tiredly. Neji dishes up the breakfast on 3 plates and you all sit at the table. "So what are you wearing Hinata?" You look over to her and she just replies quietly. "I-I'm not too s-sure." You look at her and say,"I know I'm not exactly the best, but I'll help straight after we are finished here," you say with excitement in your voice. "What about you Neji?" He just looks at you like you were mad. "What?" You say with a mouthful of food. "I've got a suit... Like every other boy will be wearing.." You just roll your eyes and smile. You finished your breakfast and quickly wizzed upstairs with Hinata. "Sorry!" You shout to Neji as you run up the stairs with Hinata behind you. He has to wash up and make breakfast, I would help but Hinata needs help. You laugh at your thoughts at how you, no idea about fashion, was helping her. But you didn't care what you looked like as long as Hinata and all your friends looked beautiful.

As you get to her bedroom, she sits on the big, King sized bed while you open her wardrobe which was in front of her. "What's your preferred colour?" You carry on looking through her wardrobe as you waited for a response. "P-purple maybe," you just nod and begin to look through her huge wardrobe. You pull out 4 options and hang them in front of the wardrobe so she could see the outfit more clearly. She picked the one that was long and made of chiffon. The sleeves were to drape around the shoulder. "Now that's decided I'm gonna go have a shower."

You got put the shower and you began to get ready. You wore a (f/c) short dress that flowed outwards and was a soft swaying material. It was strapless with a sweetheart neckline and had a jewelled pattern down the side. You curled your (h/l) (h/c) hair into big waves. You did your makeup, which want very much. You put on your matching high heels and was ready to go. You walked downstairs to see Neji sitting in the sofa looking at his phone, wearing his dark grey suit and tie. "You look smart Neji," he looked up from his phone and his eyes widened. "..you look pretty." You just blushed slightly and sat next to him. You started to talk when Hinata came down the stairs. We both looked at her in astonishment. She looked gorgeous. "Wow Hinata you look amazing! You say going up to her and giving her a hug. "Hinata... Naruto's lucky. " Neji said to Hinata. "I need to go and pick up Ten Ten, I'll see you at the prom later this evening." With that he left and it was just me and Hinata.
"When's Naruto picking you up?"

"At 7:00pm ... S-So any time now,"

She looks so happy when she talks about him.

"When is your d-date coming?"

"Today hopefully haha," you both laugh when you hear a knock at the door. Hinata opens the door and its Naruto. "Hinata! You look stunning!" He said with his signature smile and kissed her cheek. Of course she went bright red but he just smiled at her and took her delicate hand into his and guided her out. "See you at the prom (y/n)!" He said as he shut the door behind him.

Just me then. A minute went by, then another. Silence invaded the room as you sat there. You could hear the clock tick violently at you. Until you suddenly heard a loud knock on the door...
