Dear Mister Diary,

Tess is lesbian.

That's what she wanted to talk about with me at lunch, and it's honestly not a surprise at all because she's been classifying herself as bisexual for over a year now.

The only thing that surprises me is how long it took for her figure out she likes girls, and only girls. But it's understandable, being homosexual must be really hard for most to accept considering how it's so frowned upon.

I fully support LGBTQ, and I support Tess more than anything. She's my best friend, there's nothing I wouldn't do for, and I will always be there for her through anything.

Though, it's not me she was worried about telling, it was her parents.

She's afraid of the unknown, because she has no idea what they think of a gender liking the same sex. She's hoping for the best though, as they are very loving and accepting people, I'm sure they will still love her the same.

Which is exactly what I told my blue eyed best friend when she confessed her worries.

People can't control who they love, they can't hide from who they are, and yet, a huge part of society are afraid, turning them judgmental against things not accustomed to, or apart of, their own lives. Nope, instead, they push what they see as abnormal as far into a shut closest as they can.

Pun intended.

But it's no more abnormal that their attitude.

Some people just need to grow the hell up already, jeez, we live in 2016 now! -.-

Bye for now,

Hazel-The-Defender-Of-Earth. B

P.S. I keep forgetting about the whole likes and dislikes thing, so I've decided to throw the idea in the recycling bin, okay? Okay.

(That's funny because my name is Hazel. And the main character from TFIOS' name was Hazel, but I've never actually read the book haha)

P.P.S. Trent texted me. He had programmed his contact into my phone when he had picked it up for me apparently - not creepy in the slightest.

"What are you reading? You never read, so unless it's por-"

"Jesus Christ, Veronica, of course I'm not reading that!" My face flames slightly - No, not because I was reading dirty material or anything, but because I was caught reading someone else's diary (Even if she doesn't know that).

"Right, if you say so, what else can you possibly be reading so intently?" My sister asks as she moves around the kitchen, making her breakfast I assume. While she just woke up, I'm already dressed and ready for school; Which is why I had spare time to read another entry before I'll have to put it back. later.
