"Hunter!" I keep walking down the hall, towards Physics as he calls out again, "Hunter! Wait up, dude! Man, when did your legs grow- I'm losing my breath here. Please, just wait."
I internally sigh, pausing in my steps to turn and face my best friend, "What do you want, Liam?"
"Whoa," He has one hand on his chest, the other swiping across his red and sweaty face, "Did someone piss in your morning coffee, or something?"
"Liam." I warn, threatening to turn away.
"I'm serious! Why are you acting like you have a carrot up your ass?" He asks, and I don't miss the confused concern in his breathy voice.
You want to find, Hazel, be nice for now.
And I really do want to find her, I want to give her the diary, I want to meet her the right way.
Not by running into her, then giving her the cold shoulder.
But she didn't seem to be anywhere in school, and trust me, I've been looking everywhere. Except the janitor's closet.
I figure I'll just do what I did yesterday, and stalk the abandoned hall.
For now though, I have a best friend to handle.
"Sorry man, truce?" I force a grin, and pat his shoulder, retreating my hand quickly.
I see the disbelief and suspicion lingering in Liam's pale blue eyes, but start walking to class again before I'm late.
Because obviously, he's not going to let this go, and I'm never going to get the chance to ask about Hazel right now.
Maybe I can catch him after school - since I'm a little preoccupied at lunch.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Liam asks, latching onto my arm so I don't get anywhere, sapphire eyes studying my emerald ones intensely.
"I'll be okay when my best friend starts telling me the truth." I shake off his hand and storm away, leaving him stunned.
Oops. I'm not supposed to get annoyed, and snap.
Oh well, too late for that now.

Dear Mister Diary,
Sorry I couldn't get to the closet earlier, Trent hasn't left me alone for five seconds all day.
Weird.
But anyway, this will be quick since I only have ten minutes of lunch left.
Something kinda happened last night, and this was it:
"Why the hell are you even here? No one likes you all that much, they only like you because you remind them of- of- her. Well, I don't like you or want you here, and you don't deserve to be in this house. She does." Dad shouted at me, as I wiped down the milk I accidentally dropped.
