I shifted uncomfortable in the office seat. it hurt my butt, really bad. Mom was talking to the Vice Principal, Mr. Harris. I sighed as Jessie sat next to me. I didn't expect him to apologize, though he did ten times this morning.

"Sorry," he muttered.

"eleven."

"what?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"That's the eleventh time you said sorry. Sorry doesn't go back and undo the past, does it?" I asked, holding my chin high.

"Mr. bayou. A word?" the principal motioned Jess to follow him into his room as Jessie stood up. I heard a tap on the window behind me. I jumped, looking behind me to a smirking Jemma. I blushed, walking out to the hallway. Jemma bounced with excitement.

"Yay! I have a new friend! tell me everything about you." she demanded. I scrunched up nose, giggling a little.

"You'll never get it out of me that way." I smiled. Jemma snatched my phone out of my hoodie pocket. I was about to protest, but she held up a finger.

"You need my number, Ariana."

"Its Ariadne." I corrected, smirking a little. Jemma handed my phone back, and I got a message. I frowned, knowing it was Jessie. Probably not caring about his schedule.

Jessie: sorry. y cant u just forgive me????

me: Bc.

Jessie: that's it. im strangling you wen I get egyduihsoaicnk

I furrowed my eyebrows, zoning out on Jemma's ranting on some basketball game tonight.

Jessie: sorry. had to hide my phone. Mr. Douche bag was curious. im still strangling u wen I get out of here.

I ignored his threat, and Jemma took me by the arm.

"Do you have your schedule?" she piped. I rolled my eyes, and showed her the piece of paper Mr. Dou- I mean Mr. Harris gave me. Jemma gave me a huge smile.

"You have Language arts, Greek, and Calc with me. You know what class you have Homeroom and orchestra with?" she squeaked. I rolled my eyes.

"Who, I must know." I say sarcastically.

"Vencint Jackson, only the most smoken guy in the school." she gushed, looking dreamily. What is this, high school musical? if there's one thing, I would never go out with someone who someone else recommends. That always turns out bad in the movies.

I rolled my eyes. "May my new friend escort me to Homeroom?" I ask, giving her my arm. She linked her arm through mine.

"Of course! I can't wait until you meet the fabulous, stunning, handsome, Vencint Jackson." she said with a duh tone. I rolled my eyes once more, as we skipped down the hallway to homeroom. I opened the door, and Jemma waved goodbye.

The homeroom teacher, also the orchestra teacher, gave me a kind smile.

"You must be Ariadne Bayou? welcome to Dewie creek High. You sit next to Mr. Jackson over there." She said, pointing to a smoke- ah hell no. to a regular boy that happens to be very hot. How did I even manage to get on the fates good side? I get to sit next to Mr. greek God for the rest of the year!

I sat next to him, and caught him staring at me. He had sandy blonde hair, and blue eyes. I crossed my arms to hide my hands. they were shaking so badly.

"Welcome to Dewie creek," He murmured.

"Do not speak to me," I hissed.

"What?" he asked, smirking a little.
