Proteus? Who names their son Proteus? I'm not even sure he was a son... or whatever.
"We don't need to fight, Son of Posiedon. Just give us the girl, and we go on our ways." Proteus reasoned.
"Like hell!" I shouted. Jemma gave me a smile, and Cole just smacked her playfully on the arm.
"We will not hand her over. Leave." Cole demanded, stepping closer to the cashier. Proteus's eyes fogged over with that green color again, just like earlier. Cole slowly pulled his own knife out of his back pocket. Should I be worried or grateful?
"It shall be your way, then." Proteus's body glowed, and shifted. I didn't scream, and I didn't run. I watched in horror as he became a monster. Not figuratively, for real. He grew a long serpents tail, and the air suddenly smelled of sea water.
Cole got into action, throwing his knife at the monster. He easily dodged, and I began to look around. No one noticed anything we were doing. A wave hit me, an almost invisible force. But that could be just because I wasn't paying attention.
Proteus's tail was wrapped around my waist, and as much as I struggled, I couldn't get free.
"Let her go, Jackass!" Jemma shouted. She held her knife in hand, almost threatening to lunge at the monster.
"Your death shall be rewarded greatly." Proteus smirked. I noticed my hopping bag was still hanging on my shoulder. As he began to speak to them, I slowly reached inside my bag for anything-anything that could kill. Or just give him a major casualty. I hissed in pain as my hand was scrapped some cold metal. I pulled it out, a metal hanger.
I began to straighten it, until I had a sharp point. As Proteus began to look my way, I jabbed the hanger in his neck, causing his skin to dissolve in some way. His tail loosened around me, and I was dropped on the ground. Hard.
The room started spinning as I saw the blurry figures of Jemma and Cole began to fight him off.
"Cole! What happened?!" I heard a familiar voice yell. I saw a blurry figure kneel next to me. Jessie-no, Thetys. He was no longer Jessie. "Stay awake, Ari, stay awake. Can you do that for me?"
I tried to shake my head no, and my eyelids closed.
"She needs a doctor." Thetys stated, his hand brushing my shoulder.
"She can't go to a doctor, idiot. We have to take her home." Jemma corrected. I felt a bunch of presences circling around me.
"Lets get her some ambrosia." Eliza piped up. I felt familiar arms wrap around me. It was Cole. It reminded me... Mr. Strong arms.
"Shes barely immortal. That's too strong for her." Quinn cut in.
"Or we could just... Ya know, bring her to a hotel. She's just unconscious, it's not like she's gonna die" Cole snorted. Everyone turned quiet, and I felt Coles hand tightened around me. "It will be okay, Aria."

Light seeped into the unfamiliar window, and I was forced to wake up. My vision cleared, and I easily spotted Thetys in the corner of the room. He frowned when he saw me.
" your pale... I knew ambrosia wasn't good for you." Thetys sighed.
"Why do you care?" I asked, crossing my arms.
Thetys snickered a little, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Because, I'm your brother."
"No, your Thetys, not Jessie. You knew about everything, yet you wouldn't tell me. You let me think I was going crazy." I pointed out sternly.
"It was my mission. You don't understand." He ran a hand through strawberry blonde hair, giving me a state down. "I came from tarterous. Poseidon said he'd let me out if I saved and helped you. I known you before you were even born. You have to believe me, Aria." He pleaded.
My lips part, I had no idea what to say.
"I don't know you anymore...." I sighed. He frowned again, and saved by the bell, Quinn came in.
"Thetys Olympius. Your dismissed." She said flatly. Thetys growled a little.
"Don't dismiss me, peasant girl."
"You. Are. Dismissed." She pointed to the door, telling him to get out like a child. He exited, giving her a mini stare down. Quinn smiled at me. "Sorry about that. He's... Stubborn."
"Its fine, really." I let it roll off my back. She smiled, and sat where Thetys was.
"Your pale.... Hm, let's fix that. Tonight we're teaching you how to swim... you really need to come to Posiedons castle. It's awesome, especially all the naiads. Sometimes their real bitches, but they'll respect you. You have a sirens blessing." She ranted. I smiled as I walked into the bathroom. I never had an actual real conversation with another girl-besides Jemma, because all she does is rants.
Quinn handed me a pair of clothes. Shorts and a band T shirt, Twenty one Pilots. I ran a bath after Quinn left, and I got in. I let the warm water make me relax, which is a first after the last week.
I stared down in the water, seeing the water slowly move. I gasped as a tiny whirl pool formed in the water.
I heard a knock on the door. "Are you okay?" Quinn asked.
"I-I'm fine." I stuttered, but managed to make out.
I heard Quinn sigh. "Okay,.."
I looked back in to the water, it was gone.
