I woke up to the splash of water on my face. I gasped, sitting up straight and sputtering.
"What the hell!?" I looked up at an amused Quinn.
"Your very hard to wake up." She stated. I looked at the clock, and the sleeping Eliza and Jemma.
"It's five in the morning!" I exclaimed in a whisper. Quinn shrugged, sitting down on the bed across from me.
"I want to talk."
"So talk in the morning, idiot!" I pushed her roughly, but she only giggled.
"Aria, I'm your guardian. I have to watch and protect you. That also means get to know you. I don't know you yet, and I am supposed to protect your precious life." She chimed, placing a hand on her heart.
"Your an idiot, I repeat." I glower. Quinn smirks lightly, and I notice what she wearing. A big- BIG t shirt. One that I thought I saw Jessie- er, Thetys- wearing today. I stare at it in confusion, then a disgusting idea pops in my innocent brain. "Quinn!" I smack her upside the head with a pillow.
"What's your prob?" She dropped her gaze to where I was staring, and blushed. "Okay, it's not such a big deal-"
"Not a big deal? Your innocence was stolen by my brother! Wait- are you even innocent? Were you?" I ask, leaning in a little.
"Of course I was innocent. Look, how is this your business anyway?" She asked.
"Number one, you wanted to talk to me. Number two, he's my brother." I placed my hands on my hips expectantly.
"Oh yes, except the fact he isn't your brother?" She said with a sarcastic smile on her face. I roll my blue eyes, sparing a glance to Eliza, who was stirring in her sleep. "I saw you and Cole." Quinn stated out of the blue.
"And...?"
"And you guys would make the perfect Aricole!" She squealed, bouncing on my bed.
"What? What's an... An Aricole?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Your ship name, duh!"
"What's a ship name?"
"Honey, as children of the sea we are all blessed with the gift of shipping people. Your ship name is what your couple name is." Quinn explained, gesturing with her hands while doing so.
I try to let that all sink in, but it still confuses me.
"Your exhausting me more than I already am." I mumble, rubbing my eyes. Quinn rolls her silver ones, crossing her arms.
"I barely got to know you, Aria. We have to talk more." Quinn said determined. I can't hold back my smile.

I sit by the edge of the boat, crossing my arms. We were 127 miles from home.
I look up at Cole and Eliza, who were navigating. I didn't understand why they wouldn't use a GPS.
Thetys and Quinn were somewhere, and I still had my suspicions. I look in the corner of my eye, spotting Jemma approaching me. Her curly blonde hair is pulled into a side bun, and a pair of sunglasses sat on her nose.
"We have twenty minutes until we hit the monsters corner. I think we might pass a couple of sirens... So Cole told me to hand you these." Jemma gave me a pair of waxed earplugs.
"What the hell are these for?" I ask, studying the weird plugs in my hand.
"the sirens. These sirens are different from Quinn, Eliza and You. They're rogues, abandoned from most sirens. They're hateful, and attract human ships to eat them. Probably the ones you humans hear about in stories, but as you can tell we're much different." Jemma explained triumphantly.
I just nodded my head in understand, walking away while doing so. I looked at the wax plugs again, reminding me of shrek. I gave another glance to the roof where Cole and Eliza were. They weren't there anymore.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Asked a familiar voice behind me. I turned around, looking Thetys in the eye. He looked upset, and his clothes were Wrinkled again. My suspicions were correct.
"Tell you what?" I reply, shoving the wax earplugs in my pocket.
"You and Cole. You didn't tell me. I thought... I thought you could trust me. That I was your older brother...." He ranted in a quiet voice. He seemed so pained, and it pained me.
"You are my brother, Thetys. I just... I couldn't find you this morning. And yesterday... I... I just couldn't bring myself to do it." I explain. Thetys rubs his eyes, squinting a little.
"You mean to tell me that-" he stopped, looking into the distance. I tried to see what he saw, but I saw nothing. Suddenly, a beautiful voice started singing in my ears.
I looked around me, not seeing the person who possessed such a beautiful voice. I walked around the corner, and saw her. A girl who looked just like me, with only a dark purple tail and the longest of red hair.
"Aria, no!" The voices who called my name were distant, and I couldn't hear them. My breathing quickened when I saw the so called mermaid siren thingy. She put her hand out to me, as I reached out to take it.
Suddenly, something huge knocked me over, and my head starting spinning. But the beautiful voice never stopped singing. The person who knocked me over- Thetys- kept trying to hold me down.
"No! No! Get off!" I screamed, wiggling out of his grasp. Well, tried to anyway.
Something cold connected with my head, and I got sucked into darkness.
