Many pitches, swings, and home runs later, Brandon's team ended up winning the game by a few points.
Connor, however, wasn't paying attention to his brothers victory, instead he was texting Troye, praising his amazing singing voice.
"Connor! Did you see that?" Brandon called excitingly, running over to his brother behind the fence.
"Hmm?" Connor looked up at the mention of his name, his already evident smile growing more as he saw the excitement plastered on his brothers face. "Sorry, B. I was texting Troye."
"Troye, hmmm?" Brandon wiggled his eyebrows at his older brother, walking around the fence to sit next to him. "Is this Troye your boyfriend?"
Connor nearly began choking at his brothers words, not before laughing of course.
"No, Brandon. We're just friends." Connor explained, rolling his eyes at his brother. As much as he wished Brandon's words were true, they weren't. a Troye was obviously still in love with Joey (which nobody understood), so the chances of them actually being an item are slim to none.
"Well it looks like you 'just friend' is coming over here now" Brandon teased, putting air quotations around "just friends."
Connors head shot up, looking at the field in front of him. Sure enough, Troye and Tyde were on their way over to Connor's side of the field. Tyde looked disappointed, but Connor couldn't blame the kid.
Brandon had to hold in a laugh at how quickly his brother looked up. Brandon idolizes his older brother, he knows when Connors lying.
Long story short, Brandon isn't an idiot and he's fully aware that Connor has a crush on Troye.
"Hey Con!" Troye called. Connors face heated up, causing Brandon to chuckle slightly.
"I'll be in the car," Tyde informed Troye, a little too harsh if you ask Connor. Troye frowned slightly, but gave Tyde the keys anyways, telling him he'll be there in a second.
"I'm sure he's just salty about losing," Troye explained, trying to reassure himself more than Connor or Brandon.
"Yeah," Connor replied, looking down to the ground. "He played a great game, though."
"How would you know, you two couldn't take your eyes off your damn phone screens," Brandon commented. Although Connor could tell he was joking, he couldn't help but feel bad. I mean, the least he could've done was watch some of the game.
Troye laughed at the younger Franta, looking back over to his car. "Well I should probably get going, great game, Brandon."
"Wait!" Connor stopped Troye, not thinking. "B and I were heading to get some ice cream, do you and Tyde want to join?"
Brandon, despite wanting to spend time with his older brother, shrugged it off. He wouldn't mind spending time with Tyde.
"Uh, sure. I'm sure Tyde won't decline. We'll see you there. Suggs Ice Cream?" Of course Troye had suggest the place owned by his best friends family, but Connor didn't mind. Maybe he'll get a discount, who knows?
After agreeing on the place, Connor and Brandon made their way over to Connor's car.
"Just friends my ass," was the first thing Brandon said as the car doors shut. "You totally have heart eyes for him, I'm not blind."
"Brandon..." Connor warned, starting up his car. "Stop teasing me," he whined.
"So you admit it?"
"I'm not admitting anything, B."
"Why are you so difficult?"

Connor had finally gotten Brandon shut up about the whole ordeal, finally leaving him with some peace until they got to the ice cream shop.
Suggs was a cute little shop just on the corner of the street. The lawn had at least twelve different picnic tables, all decorated with different umbrellas. It was the towns go to place after any occasion. Everybody loved it.
As Connor pulled into Suggs, he couldn't help but smile at the feeling of nostalgia. He loved this place more than he loved most things.
"Hey guys," Brandon waved, walking over to Tyde and Troye. Tyde still seemed pissed, but Connor payed no mind to it.
After they had ordered (Connor and Troye discovered they have very similar taste in ice cream), Tyde and Brandon went off to one side of the lawn as Connor and Troye made their way to the brick wall on the other side.
As they sat down, the only thing running through Connors mind was how close Troye had sat. That, and how he was supposed to eat his ice cream without dropping it due to his nervous shaking.
"You and Brandon have an amazing bond," Troye stated, out of the blue.
"Yeah, I mean, we became a lot closer after the divorce," Connor replied back, a sad smile pressed on his face. Troye looked guilty for brining it up, but he wanted to press on the subject more. He was interested as so how they were so close.
"I wish Tyde and I were that close," Troye admitted, using the spoon the stir his ice cream inside the Styrofoam cup. "Tyde brushes me off like I'm nothing, and it makes me sad, ya know?"
"Yeah, I can understand. Before the divorce, I rarely talked to my siblings." The only thing Connor actually will admit to liking about the divorce was, in fact, how the bond between he and his siblings grew.
"How did you deal with it? Cause, just by being at your house a few times, I've noticed how much you interact with them." Troye was determined to have a better relationship with his siblings, mostly Tyde though.
"Just enjoy all the little moments," Connor advised, looking down at his cone. "They might seem like stupid little things at first, but down the road they'll mean so much."
"The little moments are the best," Troye breathed.
Then, without warning, Troye leaned over and places his head on Connors shoulders, taking Connor by surprise.
Needless to say Connor had dropped his ice cream, resulting in a laughing fit for both of the boys on top of the brick wall.
Although his ice cream might be ruined and Troyes head was no longer on his shoulder, Connor couldn't agree more with Troyes previous statement.
The little moment are always the best.
