chapter thirty one - epilouge.

love is a crazy, crazy thing. One minute, you could be hopelessly in love with someone, and the next minute you find out they've been cheating on you for months.

it's unpredictable and sometimes undetectable. it could come at you at full force without any warning, or it could gradually fill your heart.

After the couples dance and a few dates here and there, Bethany and Kevin officially became an item. It was a long time coming, and Connor couldn't be happier for his step sister. She deserves a good guy like Kevin. They'll end up falling in love.

Kian and Andrea eventually broke up for reasons unknown. Kian was taking harder than Andrea, which was entertaining in her eyes. He was looking for something much more than she was, which lead them to go their separate ways. They ended up falling out of love.

Zoe and Alfie are still going strong as the schools power couple. Though, Alfie tends to steal many ideas from other people, Zoe still cares and adores for him a lot. They're still in love.

Peter and Kathy eventually (and thankfully) broke it off. Peter about had it with Kathy and her bullshit lies, so he got her to sign the divorce papers, and now the Franta's will never have to see that two faced lying bit hard again. Peter doesn't think they were ever in love to begin with.

Joey and Daniel are still, somehow, dating. Everybody eventually found out about Joey and Troye, so now Daniel and Joey have been making their relationship more public, which was absolutely dreadful to see. Daniel said he loves Joey, but Joey has yet to say it back.

Hannah and Ingrid are absolutely adorable. They continuously support and love one another equally, and they cannot be more thankful to have each other. They're so in love it hurts.

Then, that brings us to Troye and Connor.

Currently on their way home from their 6th month anniversary date, Troye couldn't help but notice how jittery Connor has been lately. He constantly played with his fingers, tapped his feet along to the non-existent beat, and was so untidily wiping away the sweat forming on his forehead. He was nervous, it was cute.

Finally, though, Troye had enough of it, so he pulled over.

"Why are we at Sugg's?" Connor asked, looking surprised.

"Well we never got dessert at the restaurant, so I figured we'd stop for ice cream." Troye put the car in park, running over to Connor's side and hauling him out of the car. Eventually they ordered their ice cream, both of them deciding on the same flavor, and made their way to the brick wall.

"Con, are you okay?" Troye finally asked, however this only made Connor more tense.

"Listen, Troye, I need to tell you something," Troyes mind immediately went to oh no he's breaking up with me, but he didn't let it show. Instead, he just nodded, allowing Connor to speak his mind.

"Troye, we've know each other for seven months, six of which we've been dating. God, I wouldn't trade those seven months for the world. One thing I have told you repeatedly was my belief that love was fake. I told you my parents had ruined the concept of love for me, I told you that you weren't in love with Joey, and hell, I even had the courage to tell you your dad doesn't love your mom,"

Troye chuckled a bit at the memory. It was funny how Connor had always seemed to be right when it came to love.

"And fuck, Troye, I hate that I was right. I hate that I was right about you and Joey, your parents, my parents, but I was wrong about one thing,"

"And what's that?"

"That love is fake," Connor stated simply. "I'm being simply sincere when I tell you that you, Troye Sivan Mellet, made me believe in love again."

"What are you saying, Connor?"

Connor let out one last breathe before uttering the words he never thought he'd utter a day in his life; "I'm in love with you, Troye."

Troye had wished for this day, the day in which Connor said he loved him. It was a long time coming, and now that it was here, it was utterly surreal.

"Fuck, Connor, I love you too."

they were in love.
