We pull away, but I allow Paul to wrap his arm around my waist.
My mother practically kills herself running into the room and she gawks when she sees us.
"So, it is true! You are in a relationship!" she exclaims delightedly.
Paul looks at me worriedly and I give him a reassuring smile.
"That's right," I smile as I look back at my mother.
"But what about—" I know she's about to mention his name so I cut her off.
"Don't worry, Mum. Paul is nothing like that."
