After convincing the medics to let me ride to the hospital with them, I'm told to wait while they handle Paul.
Soon, a doctor walks into the room and calls my name. I stand.
"How is he? Can I see him?" I ask worriedly.
"He should be fine. He's under enough medication to sleep through the night, but he'll wake up sometime in the morning. I advise no visitors until then." the doctor says.
I nod. "Thank you."
"Is there anyone I can call? A family member, maybe?"
I shake my head.
"I'm the only one he's got."
Don't worry, no coma for lil ol' Paul. Comas are cliché and stupid 😊
