Jungle Wall Mural!~

Completed in May of 2015!

I painted this as a volunteer work for the Nursery at one of the local Churches. (One I attend ^^)
Back in May 2015.

Right after one of the services I remember my mom rushing up to me saying

"Did you hear?? The board members are looking for someone to paint the walls for the new nursery downstairs!"

And I got all excited because i had always wanted to paint a wall mural i was all like

"What serious? I could totally paint a mural!!" 

So I ran downstairs as fast as I could to find the board member that was organizing all this and luckily I ran into her.

I offered to paint for the nursery and she happily accepted my offer.

After that I went there all day every day for about 2 weeks and painted, and painted, and painted my heart out. :'D

I swear sometimes I got more paint on me than on the walls. X"D  LOL

I timed when I went in for work and when I left, so once it was all finished I clocked my hours to be about 60 hours of painting time!! The Mural size is about 7ft tall by 9ft wide.

Even though I had originally done this as a volunteer work for my church the board members liked it so much they gave me a 200$ shopping spree for Michael's (an art store) a 100$ iTunes card and a 100$ hair salon ticket!!

Man I was SO overjoyed to be given a gift like that!!! I hadn't even asked for anything for painting the mural and they gave me such an amazing gift. ♥

I had never really gotten anything like that before so it was a pretty big deal for me!!! *_*

I'm definitely super proud of this one! One day I'd like to get someone to take a picture of it with me sitting in front of the mural. I think that'd be cool! X3

Sorry if the animals are a little hard to see because of the picture being small. Hopefully you can see it okay!~ ^^ unfortunately my watermark app took the quality of the photo down quite a lot :(

Fun fact about the mural, about 95% of the people that see the mural IRL say that the zebra tail is their favorite part out of the whole thing, but that's the part that look the least amount of time to paint out of everything else! X"D

Also, the only reason the zebra tail stretches onto the separate wall is because I had no room to paint it on the wall with the whole picture...but it ended up being a really cute effect!! XD
Funny how mistakes work out like that sometimes haha!
