Gym
The gym was filled to the brim with spectators. The game was about to commence.
In the locker room, Coach Bolton went to have a word with his son and daughter.
"How you two feeling?" Coach Bolton asked them.
"Nervous." They confessed in unions.
"Yeah, me too. I wish I could help you two somehow." He told them.
"Hey, you had your turn." Troy teased.
"And how would you help me in cheerleading?" Veronica teased.
Things have obviously gotten better between them.
"You know what I want from you guys today right?" He asked.
"The championship," Troy stated.
"For me to win the cheer off. Just like grandma." Veronica stated.
Coach Bolton's mother was a head cheerleader and he wanted his daughter to follow her footsteps.
"Well, that'll come or it won't. What I want is for you two to have fun. I know all about the pressure. And probably too much of it has come from me. What I really want is to see my children having the time of their lives playing the game we both love. And doing the things that makes her who she is. You give me that, and I will sleep with a smile on my face no matter how the score and cheer off result comes out." Coach Bolton told them.
"Thanks, Coach..." Troy nodded with a smile
"Dad." Veronica thanked him happily.
"Dad," Troy repeated with a smile.
Coach Bolton got up and left Troy to finish suiting up. Veronica got up and went to the girls locker room. _______________________________________
Scholastic Decathlon
The spectators for the scholastic decathlon took their seats.
"Welcome to the tenth annual Scholastic Decathlon. The East High Wildcats versus The West High Knights." The Announcer said.
The crowd applauded as the team members went and shook hands. _______________________________________
Callback Auditions
"Hello!" Ms. Darbus greeted the few people that were there.
Kelsi opened the piano and practiced her songs. Sharpay and Ryan were in their dressing room doing their bizarre pre-show ritual.
They do there vocal and trust exercises.
Ms. Darbus checked the watch of her assistant. _______________________________________
Locker room
The basketball team raucously left the locker room
"Whoo!" The Wildcats screamed.
"Come on, let's do it!' Troy shouted. _______________________________________
Gym
"And now introducing your East High Wildcats!" The announcer shouted
The Wildcats ran onto the court causing the crowd to go wild.
"W-I-L-D! Wildcats!" The cheerleaders cheered.
"You are so going to lose during half time." The West Knight head cheerleader smirked at Veronica
"Oh bring it on!' Veronica hissed.
"West High!" The West High Cheerleader yelled.
"East High!" The East High Cheerleaders yelled.
"West High!"

"East High!"
"Let's go! Go!" Coach Bolton shouted.
"...for this championship game between East High and West High!" The Announcer continued.
The Wildcats threw some baskets for the spectators. _______________________________________
Meanwhile the scholastic decathlon started with Gabriella and her West High opponent writing an equation on their markerboards. The point of which being to see who can finish first. _______________________________________
While all of this was happening Ms. Darbus was giving a speech in the auditorium.
"Casting the leads of a show is both a challenge and a responsibility. A joy and a burden. I commend you and all other young artists to hold out for the moon, the sun, and the stars." She gave the speech.
Kelsi and the assistant applauded.
"Shall we soar together?" Ms. Darbus held out her hand, which Kelsi took as the assistant took a picture of Ms. Darbus.
"Sharpay and Ryan!" Ms. Darbus announced.
