Everything about Lauren Jauregui screamed 'danger'. Her piercing green eyes that made the most innocent of eyes look twice, the tattoos scattered across her pale skin, not leaving an inch uncovered, the lip, nose, and tongue piercing; God Lauren was like a walking 'Caution' sign. It was all just judgement though. Lauren- despite he appearance was one of the sweetest girls anyone could be fortunate enough to meet. She had a deep, caring soul despite the rumors and could talk to you for hours on end about how the government oppressed people and Lana Del Ray of course. People were just too quick to judge by outward appearances though. No one would give Lauren the chance to explain her colorful yet dark persona- no one except Y/N.

Y/N Y/L/N was a 'relatively' good girl. She had a few suspensions for a few promiscuous activities with a few of the girls in school, but other than that had the good girl appearance. She was born with a penis, but that didn't stop her from being extremely girl crazy. If anything, she and Lauren had each others personalities. The fact that their looks were the total opposites from their personalities was the ironic thing. That and they were close friends.

"Hey Laur, new tattoo huh?" Lauren's eyes widened in surprise, but she knew Y/N was bound to see it. The small roman numerals of the number twenty seven in the inner part of her arm was barely noticeable compared to all of the other tattoos. Y/N however knew when anything was new or out of place on Lauren. The fact that the younger girl knew all of that and more about her made Lauren's heart flutter like a love sick teen talking to her crush- maybe that's what she was.

"Y-yeah, just got it last night." She shivered, biting back a moan as Y/N traced the black and red heart on her forearm.

"Well do you wanna come over tonight? I've got the house to myself and we can do whatever we want." Her tone wasn't exactly suggestive to Lauren. Y/N always talked liked that, even to complete strangers, but she had no idea that her best friend was suggesting way more than just hanging out.

"Uh, I-I really don't-"

"It wasn't really a question. You've flaked on me for days now. I'm really worried okay? If you don't come over tonight, then I'll know where we stand." With that, Y/N left her best friend standing at her locker disoriented. She was in love with her best friend and completely terrified of the consequences that would follow.

School ending was something Lauren always looked forward to. Now, she was actually wishing school could last a little longer. Lauren only had three hours to make her mind up or she'd end up loosing her best friend- and her chance to confess her love for the brown eyed girl.

From: ❤Love of My Life❤: You still coming over tonight right? 😉

Lauren knew this was her last chance. She had to make her mind up now or never.

To: ❤Love of My Life❤: Wouldn't miss it for the world. See you in 5. 😊

"Tonight's a good night to experience heart break." Lauren thought as she put on a pair of grey sweats, a plain white muscle T-shirt and a pair of white Vans.

Lauren arrived in Y/N's driveway exactly five minutes later, the confidence she'd once mustered up slowly fading away as Y/N opened the front door in a similar crew cut white T-shirt, a pair of black boxer shorts, and a low ankle cut pair of neon green socks. Her hair was similar to Lauren's which was tied up in a bun, but somehow Lauren felt she made it work a thousand times better.
