Prompt: For your end of the year project in Advanced Art and World Design, you have to make a special creation based off your true love. Lauren Jauregui doesn't know you exist- maybe this work of art might catch her eye.

“…and this concludes why abstract art is the most used, yet so intricate and detailed that it's the hardest form of art to master." Mr. Raymond finished, wrapping up his ‘incredibly interesting' speech.

The whole class had nearly fallen asleep, even Y/N Y/L/N, who was the ideal student that every teacher loved to have in their class.

“Alright alright, I know that speech was boring as hell, but your end of the year project is vastly approaching, so I suggest you all wake up and pay attention." He continued.

The class of twenty something students sat up, groaning and rubbing the sleepiness out of their eyes, attempting to pay as much attention to the man in front of the classroom as he spoke.

There was a huge party that the bad boy of the school Brad Williams had thrown, and everyone who was anyone went- including Lauren Jauregui, his on again-off again girlfriend.

Y/N of course kept her distance, but the boys dorm wasn't exactly a great deal of far from the girls dorm, so the loud music and enthralling shouts of drunken college students kept her up pretty much until the early morning hours.

“As I said in class before, this project will count for over half of your grade," he began, shuffling some papers around on his desk until he found his Promethean board remote. Skipping a few slides of notes and videos he'd previously shown the class, the board settled on another slide that held a very detailed rubric that he instructed the class to copy down so they wouldn't miss a point by not meeting all of the criteria.

“This rubric contains everything I'm going to be expecting to see in your project. It can be in the form of a some yet detailed painting, or I'm branching out to the form of making 3d art. You'll get extra points since it's harder to do than a painting. Its due by December 19, the day before Christmas break. I wouldn't wait until the last minute to do this because it has to come from the heart. You'll do whatever form of art you please based on the true love that inspires you to make art. It can be food, places, something special your great whoever gave you, or someone that you think or know is your true love. Class dismissed!"

Y/N pondered Mr. Raymond's options as she walked towards her dorm. Her next class wasn't until five, so she had a great deal of free time to spend lounging around and watching stuff on YouTube like the hermit crab she was.

“...something special your great whoever gave you, or someone that you think or know is your true love."

Y/N knew what (or who rather) her inspiration was for loving art: Lauren Jauregui. Those perfect pools of emerald, her long, stone cold black hair, that body, her laugh, pretty much everything about the goddess inspired Y/N. There were a few problems that prevented Y/N from confessing to it though:

Sexuality was the biggest obstacle. Lauren Jauregui dated boys- majority of them being fuck boys- but not girls. Sure she had plenty of female friends that she was affectionate with, but that was all.

The next challenge would be separating Lauren from Brad long enough to tell her. Brad was the controlling type when it came to letting Lauren out of his sights, and thought of having to face Brad while he was with Lauren didn't settle well in Y/N's stomach.

Lastly, Lauren didn't know Y/N existed. You would think being in the same class with someone for the past year would be enough time for at least one conversation to transpire between them, but that unfortunately never happened.
