Chapter 25: Date

'Give Mr. Douche a shot. He is your mate after all.'

37 letters.

That's all it took for me to turn around and walk out the door.



"Yes." I stared him in the eyes.

"Yes what?" He asks

"Yes I'll go on a date with you." I smirked

His face lit up like a 8 year old on Christmas morning.

"That doesn't mean i am accepting you though." I made sure that was clear.

He nodded quickly.

"Okay so, I'll pick you up from here tonight at 6. Wear a dress." He smiled sweetly.

"Alright." I gave him a small smile.

He grabbed me into a warm hug.

"You won't regret this Skylar." He whispered in my ear.

I went home making sure with my Alpha to have security all around the hospital and Destiny's room.

When I got home I immediately hopped in the shower, letting the hot water take away all my stress.

But all good things must come to an end.

I got out of the shower after washing my hair and body.

I wrapped a towel around my body and headed towards my closet.

I decided on a light colored floral dress with a jean jacket and light brown sandals. (Outfit on the side)

after I was dressed I blow dried my hair and curled it into loose curls. after that I did my makeup. I decieded on a little bit more this time. I used foundation, eye shadow, I lightly put on brown eyeliner and then mascara. i brushed my teeth and then put some lip gloss on.

I grabbed my parents credit card and cash.

they'd want me to have it for food and those things.

I grabbed my phone and money and put it into a blue handbag along with some touch up makeup.

I glanced at the clock and it read

6:00PM


then I heard a knock. I smiled slightly as I walked downstairs to the door.

I opened it revealing a very handsome looking Greyson.

He was wearing a button up shirt with some dressy pants and nice shoes.

"Wow.." He breathed looking me up and down.

"You're beautiful." He smiles.

"You're not so bad yourself." I smirk at him

He grins as he holds out his arm for me to take.

"Shall we go m'lady?" He says in a posh accent.

"We shall my good sir." I smile hooking our arms together.

He opens the car door for me before he makes his way to the drivers side.

"So where are we going?" I ask after a couple seconds of driving.

"You'll see when we get there." He smirks.

I cross my arms and pout.

"You're so cute." He giggles.

"I know," I shrug and begin laughing.

After 20 minutes of driving we begin to pull up to a wheat field.

"Put this on." Greyson says handing me a blind fold.

"You aren't going to kill me, right?" I ask grabbing the blind fold.

"Of course not." He winks

I put on the blind fold and he drives for about 5 more minutes before he comes to a stop.

"Okay, don't take it off yet." He says opening his car door.

"Mmmhm." I said leaning back on the seat.

I hear my door open as he unbuckles my seat belt and leads me out of the car.

We walk for about a minute before he says anything.

"Okay. take it off." He tells me.

I nod as I pull up on the blind fold, revealing a hot air balloon, next to it was a picnic blanket with candles on it, along with a picnic basket. Also on the sides of the basket on the balloon sat more candles.



"Wow." I breathed, smiling.

I look over to Greyson and he blushes.

"I wasn't sure if this wasn't too cheesy," He started

"It's amazing." I cut him off.

he grins at me.

"Let's eat?" He asks.

"Let's." I smiled.

We both sat on the blanket

Greyson opens the basket and pulls out two plates with a lid on top of them.

"I uh, I made this dinner for you." He blushes again.

Hes too cute.

He takes off the lid, revealing two delicious looking steaks with veggies and a baked potato.

"You made this?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah," He scratches the back of his neck

"It looks amazing!" I said, my mouth watering.

"Well, dig in!" He smiles

We finished the meal, and let me tell you,

It was AMAZING.

the steak was cooked just right and seasoned perfectly.

And the veggies were amazing also.

"Ready for dessert?" He asks.

"Of course." I smirked.

He smirked back and reached into the basket, pulling out two chocolate cupcakes with white frosting and a candy heart on the top.


"Did you bake these also?" I asked

"Yeah." He smiles.

"Damn son you cook a thousand times better than me. Last time I tried to cook I burn't ice." I laughed.

He started laughing and handed me the cupcake.

"Yum." I did a toothless smile as i took a bite of the cupcake.

" Sky." Greyson breathed.

"Hmm?" I said with a mouth full of cupcake.

"Stop doing that." He said.

"Doing what?" I asked after i swallowed the piece of cupcake.

"Stop being so attractive." He says

"I'll stop if you stop." I say not realizing what's being said out of my mouth. My eyes slightly widen and I looked up to a smirking Greyson.

After we finished the delicious cupcakes he pulls me up, and leads me to the hot air balloon.

He opens the little door and leads me inside of it.

he blows out the candles and turns it on.

"Do you know what you're doing?" I giggle,

"No, i'm risking your life so we can ride a hot air balloon." He says with a straight face.

"Oh," I said confused.

"Of course i know what i am doing." He smiles.

I smile back as we float up into the air.

The view from up here, is amazing.

He's amazing.

I told myself I wouldn't fall for him,

But I am.

And damn I'm falling hard.

"Skylar," His voice pulls me back into reality.

"Hmm?" I ask

"So, what do you think?" He asks nervously.

"This is amazing." I said honestly.

He smiles and looks into my eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" he asks.

I nod slowly as he cups my face in his hands and kisses me softly.

He pulls away and connects our foreheads.

he pulls me in a tight embrace

"I love you," He whispers in my ear.
