Legends, a dance with dragons

Chapter 27

They flew a ways to meet up with the others outside of the dragon territory.

"Terrance, before we continue, can I speak to you alone?" Avani asked as she brushed herself off.

She smiled slightly and nodded, "of course you can."

He lead her out of site and hearing distance from the others.

"I was so worried, I'm so glad he had your back, i don't know what would happen if you didn't make it.. " he said anxiously

She turned to face him

"Of course I'd be okay, I couldn't die knowing what's left of the missions" she said, pulling him closer

"Missionssss? " he asked

"You know, the main one is saving the world, the other is finding a way to be with you."

She looked into his eyes as a smile rose to his face.

He gently put a finger under her chin and lifted it up slightly before leaning in to kiss her

She kissed him back, then without breaking the kiss she slid her hand up to the back of his hair and gently intertwined her fingers in it. She rested her other hand against his chest.

He wrapped his arms around her waist as goose bumps rose to skin.

They were lost in the moment, caught up in the bliss of it all

Are you two coming back today or are you planning to spend the rest of it making out? Jed teased her through their mind link

She pushed out of the kiss and her cheeks burned bright red

"What?" Avani asked

"Just, dragons hearing is better than it should be." She said stating to walk back

He was completely confused be shrugged it off and followed her back to the others

"Dragons won't be happy about this visit, you two should stay out of site while we convince them." Jed said in a low growl to the elves

They both nodded, no arguments

Ride? He asked her in thought

She smiled and stepped onto the wing he lowered

Jed lead the way, ridden by Terrance, followed by the elves

So I was thinking, we bonded, you should be able to do my talents now he said

You're right, how do you do it?

Well, basically, right now you just empty your mind and focus on what you want to happen, but how I got the powers you need spells, which I like to write in Latin, since that's dragons native language. But I'll teach you spells and stuff later

Oh ok, I'll try forming fire in my hand then? She asked, looking for reassurance more than anything else

Great idea

She opened her hand and looked at it, she emptied her mind, only thoughts of fire. She made a fist then tenderly waved her other hand over it, closed her eyes, then opened them and her hand. Sure enough, there was a small fire burning in her hand

"Magnificent" she whispered

We're about there, this is where the elves should wait he thought to her

"Ok" she said before sliding off his back, she turned to the elves, "Avani, Ava, he says this is where you should wait."

They nodded.

Terrance turned back towards where the dragons dwelled and took a big breath of air before walking along side her dragon into what could be her doom.
