Chapter 32

After staying one last night with the elves, showering, then celebrating with them, Terrance woke up early and headed towards the beach with Avani and Jed.

As she walked down the path, beach coming into view and the sun rising she couldn't help but feel nervously excited. The thought of ruling a kingdom terrified her but being able to live freely with Avani and Jed was liberating.

The elves had given her new leggings, a tunic and hood. She felt clean for once. They offered her any color she wanted but she chose to stay with blue.

As they reached the shore Avani stopped her.

"I spoke with my father, he knows how i feel about the war and you.. I can not fight in the battle but he gave me this for you.." He said holding out a crown.

She took it, mouth open in awh. It was thin stands of gold and silver wrapping around each other to make the shape of a crown with a place for a single stone in the middle, but the stone was missing

"The missing stone spot is for the moon stone.. So when this is over, will you rule over the elves with me as well as the humans? We can be the closest allies.. I guess what I'm trying to say.. Is once we're free, will you marry me?"

She couldn't stop the tears from welling up and falling from her eyes, she nodded, her voice failing her.

He gracefully took the crown from her and placed it on her head. He then cupped her cheeks with his hands and kissed her

"My queen" he said softly when he pulled back

Jed coughed sarcastically

They looked at him

"We going to save the world or just talk about our feelings?" Jed growled with a smile

Terrance rolled her eyes

"The elves have provided this small boat" Avani said motioning to the small boat in the water

Terrance nodded, kissed him one last time then walked over to Jed

"I'll see you soon best friend." She said with a sad smile

He smiled in response

She threw her arms around what she could of his neck and hugged him.

After a long embrace with her partner in crime she wiped a tear and turned to get in the boat.

She pushed off shore

Just before she was out of hearing range she looked over her shoulder to yell, "I love you guys. See you soon!"

Avani nodded

When you've gathered all the moon shines and the curse has lifted I'll know, you won't feel my presence over there but as soon as the curse is broken we'll be able to sense each other again. As soon as I sense you I'll come. Jedimie said through a mind link

Okay she replied smiling

She sailed into the sunrise towards home
