The rest of vidcon passed in a blur for Dan. He went to join Phil in his little area, and together they greeted fans from both of their channels. Phil introduced Dan as 'my best friend', a name which was pretty good, if not the one he wanted most.

He genuinely enjoyed meeting his fans. They were all such cheerful, upbeat people and although he didn't know if that was just because they were meeting him, or if they were like that all the time, he still found it nice.

He couldn't remember any individual faces, but he could remember little snippets of conversation, or sentences that people had said to him. 'I've been watching your videos for years'. 'I feel like I know you really well'. 'Your videos really helped me through bad times'.

His first subscriber, a girl called Hollie, was there, and they struck up quite a good conversation, but she had to leave before they could form any sort of connection. When she went, Phil leaned over to Dan and whispered "I'm still your favourite first subscriber though, aren't I?" Dan had laughed and told him that was a fact. If they been anywhere else they'd have kissed, but it really wasn't the place for that.

At the end of the weekend he was exhausted. Meeting people wasn't really his forte, and although he enjoyed it, he felt as though all the energy had been drained out of him.

"Did you enjoy it?" Phil called from the bathroom.

"It was pretty good, I guess" Dan answered. "Meeting all those people just exhausted me though."

"I know the feeling" Phil answered. "But overall?"

"A strong eight out of ten," Dan said.

Phil turned the tap off and came into the bedroom, sliding under the covers with Dan. He put his arm around Dan's slim waist and pulled him close.

"I don't want to sound too forward, but-"

"Phil. It's literally impossible for you to say anything at all improper. Stop apologising before you've even started talking," Dan said.

"Ok. Well, I was thinking, we both live in London, right? So why pay rent for two apartments when we could pay for one?"

"Are you suggesting we move in together?"

"That's exactly what I'm suggesting."

Dan smiled. "I'd love to."

Phil smiled back, kissing him. "This is a thing that's happening, then?"

"Sure is."

Their lips met again and Dan worked his arm around Phil's back.

"How were you thinking we celebrate?" he asked.

"Maybe by carrying on like we are now?"

"Sounds good to me."
