"Venice? Really?"

"Yeah! Why not?"

"I don't know. It just seems a bit cliché." Dan wound his hand into his hair and sat down next to Phil. "How about Jamaica?"

"Why Jamaica?"

"Because it's awesome."

Phil laughed. "Can't argue with that logic." He opened a new tab on his laptop. "Where do you want to stay?"

"Somewhere nice."

Phil rolled his eyes. Dan's 'just go with it' attitude was usually nice but when he needed a definite answer or suggestion it really didn't help.

Dan pulled the laptop onto his lap and typed in 'hotels in Jamaica'. Phil pointed at one of the results.

"This place looks nice."

"The Courtleigh Hotel" Dan read. "Four stars?"

"Dan. Really?"

"I only stay in the finest accommodation, you know," Dan stated.

"You idiot. Look, it's got a pool and everything!"

Dan groaned. "Really? A pool?"

"Yeah! What's wrong with that?"

"I don't swim in pools when there's a beautiful sparkling warm sea only metres away," Dan argued.

"Fair point. But it still looks nice."

"Does it have WiFi?"

"Dan. Do you really need WiFi when there's a beautiful sparkling sea only metres away?"

Dan laughed and rolled his eyes at the same time. "Fine. Let's book it."

Phil clicked the appropriate areas of the screen and typed in his card details.

"Booked."

"When for?" Dan asked.

"Three days time."

"Are you kidding me? You didn't even check the plane times?" Dan exclaimed, his head dropping into Phil's shoulder. He let out a sigh of annoyance.

"I'm sure there'll be something," Phil said, eyebrows knitting together.

Thankfully, there was a plane at quarter past five on the right day, so Phil booked them two seats there.

"First class?" Dan begged.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Dan. We're staying in Jamaica for a week. Do you really think we have enough money for a first class flight there?"

Dan sighed. "Fine."

Phil kissed his nose. "You're so fussy, you know," he said affectionately. "I dread the day when we get married and you spend the whole time complaining about how the flowers aren't the right colour and-"

"Married?"

Phil stopped. "Shit."

"What's wrong?"

"I didn't mean to say that."

"Aah... Does little Philly not want me to know his deepest darkest desires?"

Phil lightly hit his arm. "Shut up!"

Dan laughed and put his arm around him. "Sorry."

They sat like that for a few seconds until Dan spoke.

"Do you really want us to get married someday?"

"Wow. Slow down, Daniel. We've known each other for what? Two weeks?"
