Phil's ears were blocked with water. He couldn't hear anything, but he was still wriggling in his rescuer's grasp.
"Will you stay still?" the man snapped. "You're going to fall overboard if you carry on with this shit-"
"Where the fuck is Dan?" Phil asked desperately.
"I don't know who Dan is, now will you please stay still?"
Phil couldn't. He twisted around so he could see off the other side of the lifeboat, and that was when he saw it.
