Phil grabbed Dan's arm and shook him roughly, but Dan's head just lolled to one side and his face became submerged in seawater.
Phil ripped off his lifejacket and wound it around Dan, then turned towards the boat.
It was driving towards them, so Phil held desperately onto Dan, hoping against all hope that they would both survive this.
