-----Taehyung had an empty look on his face. "What's your name?" Her words echoed in his head. What does she mean, "What's your name?"? She didn't hit her head, she just fell onto the pavement. How could she forget who he is? He thought to himself whilst he kept quiet.
She dusted her white dress off as she looked around with a vacant expression, waiting for his reply.
"Wh.. What did you ask?" Taehyung asked her to repeat her question, stuttering.
She looked up at him with those friendly eyes. "I asked what is your name."
He continued to stare at her, "Taehyung," He answered without realising it. A small smile formed on her lips. Taehyung couldn't help but notice that she looked pretty when she wasn't out to kill him.
"I knew someone named Taehyung. I haven't seen him since Junior school though." She commented. He could hear the sadness in her voice that she tried to hide. He didn't like seeing her sad when right now, she was vulnerable. Yet, he also knew, that he should take this opportunity to find out what he can about her while he can. While she's in this state. Maybe then he can leave her.
"Why don't we..." Taehyung grasped at thin air to find an activity, "Go to the park?" He wasn't sure what to suggest, and she needed the Vitamin D while she was outside.
She nodded enthusiastically and stood next to him, tugging his arm so they could go. Taehyung was confused by her excitement and wondered why she never went to the park if she wanted to go.
They walked, side-by-side, to the park which was only five minutes away. It was close to where Inseo had dragged him a few days earlier. His leg hurt and while they were out he needed to buy some painkillers to dull the pain. He knew it was half past four in the evening, so he didn't have to worry about anyone wondering why he wasn't in school. They continued to walk (slightly limp for Taehyung) along the pathway into the park. They could hear the soft chirping of ducklings and the loud quacks of ducks from a pond further in.
Soon they came across the source of the noisy birds when the trail of ducklings burst out of the bush. They waddled across the path being led by an older duck. The little balls of fluff hobbled after their mother on the bricks, but a clumsy chick had fallen over his feet in the hurry.
The girl bent down in front of the chick and helped him up onto his small webbed feet. The little ball of fluff glanced in her direction before ruffling his feathers and hobbling quickly after his siblings.
Taehyung stood there with a mouth full of teeth, staring at the scene. She was beginning to confuse him more and more by the second. She stood up and waited for him to return to reality.
"Why don't we go and sit down over there?" Taehyung pointed to a bench near the pond. She nodded and followed him there, both taking a seat next to each other on the wooden bench.
No one else was around, it was just the two of them besides a few others on the other side of the park. They sat in silence, staring at the ducks. To be more precise, she stared at the ducks with great interest whereas Taehyung thought about everything.
He hadn't even noticed she was humming a small tune to herself until another tune, a familiar tune, brought him back to reality.
"What flavour of ice-cream do you like?" Taehyung asked her while listening to the tune of an ice-cream truck nearby. The girl gave him an impassive stare. When last did she have ice-cream? Taehyung wondered to himself.
